Trivium Mgt Talks The Crusade 2006-12-15 by Jom | 8 Comments | As taken from Trivium's official site (written by Trivium's management):
We're halfway through the first leg of Trivium's The Crusade World Tour 2006-2007 — 71 concerts in 4 months in the United States, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Holland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, U.K., Ireland, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. We've just recently finished the North American portion of the tour and it was a blast.
We are currently overseas in Europe as very special guests to the mighty Iron Maiden — quite an honor!!! If we don't make it to your city on this initial run, there is a good chance we'll make it later in 2007 as we've just added an additional leg to the North American Crusade and we will be announcing headline dates for the European Crusade in the VERY near future. All of this touring supports the October release of the current album The Crusade. Lots of work to do!
Touring in support of our debut Roadrunner Records album, Ascendancy, was amazing. The Download Festival (2005 and 2006) playing on the sacred Donington stage in front of 60,000 screaming metal fans with fists in the air, Ozzfest 2005, two sold-out headline tours of the U.K. and Ireland including — in March 2006 two sold-out nights each at Dublin's Ambassador and London's Astoria were just some of the highlights, there were so many other highlights in between and we do cherish all of them. Most importantly, we know that the only reason Trivium can do this is because you the fans make this possible — we all truly appreciate your support.
Speaking of The Crusade — we want to give a big thank you to our fans around the world who helped the album make a splash the first week. The record went straight to the charts in a number of countries: No. 7 on the U.K. charts (where it was certified silver upon release), No. 23 in the USA, Germany and Canada, No. 12 in Ireland, No. 14 in Australia, Austria No. 44, Switzerland No. 92, The Netherlands No. 64, Norway No. 61, Sweden No. 41, Italy No. 86, and No. 46 in Japan. This is beyond our expectations so — thank you!
We hope you like the new record The Crusade as much as we do. Even though recording is fun, for Trivium it is all about taking the show on the road to the fans and playing live. We live for it and we can only hope the shows are as much fun for you as they are for us. We've had the opportunity to play over 400 shows around the world since May of 2004 and we look forward to the next 400!
Have a safe and happy holiday season, we hope to see you somewhere on the road in 2007 at the shows!

| | | Well, I am here...
| | | I don't like their music, but I must admit he seems like a nice guy.
| | | Who has written this? I thought Trivium was a extremely arrogant band?
| | | Darn, it went to No. 14 here.
| | | Seriously, I think people hate these guys because the media hypes them up so much. If you think about, they are still far better than alot of music out there. Some of the reviews for The Crusade were ones. Is that necessary?
| | | Yes, if the music is actually that bad.
