Korn drummer on hiatus

(Billboard) -- Rock band Korn shot on episode of MTV's "Unplugged" series last weekend, garnering guest turns from some high-profile guests.

Although a spokesperson could not confirm the set list, sources told Billboard.com it featured Evanescence's Amy Lee on "Freak on a Leash" and a blend of Korn's "Make Me Bad" and the Cure's "In Between Days" with the latter band on stage. No airdate has been announced yet for the taping.

Meanwhile, Korn will be moving forward on its next studio album without drummer David Silveria, who is taking a "temporary hiatus" from the band. A one-sentence statement from the artist says only, "I just need a break right now."

The follow-up to 2005's "See You on the Other Side" is tentatively due in June via Virgin. It will be supported by another edition of the Family Values tour, which was resurrected this summer.

The trek is chronicled on the upcoming CD/DVD "Family Values Tour Live," due December 26 via Firm Music.

Now, only if the rest of the band would go on hiatus for the rest of their lives so they couldn't make anymore music.
