Sabbath to Continue Recording

2012-02-04 by DarthMann | 32 Comments
Heavy metal kings Black Sabbath have 'vowed' that they will continue to record their material despite issues with drummer Bill Ward, who said he would pull out of the making of a new album and live shows if he wasn't 'presented with a signable contract.'

Black Sabbath have also moved out of the US into the UK to record so Tony Iommi can be treated.

Just give the drummer a little respect, man. Also hope Tony gets well.

I think it's great they're keeping things going for their hopeful fans but without Tony or Bill I don't think the album will be any good.

@salesman I read Tony has already begun writing riffs for the new album despite his condition. Plus there's a chance, albeit a slim one, that Bill might hop back on if he's given a good enough contract. i.e one with enough money.

Don't think that he ever could sing. Sabbath are cool though

As if a Sabbath album could ever be recorded without Iommi. If Ward actually wouldn't be getting his fair share of the profits I can't blame him for opting to back out. Even if Iommi gets better and things work out between the four of them a new record is going to be decent at best.

Well, The Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath) record was kickass. That had Tony and Geezer on it. With the magic of pro tools, they can probably make Ozzy sound somewhat good. But I would like to hear Bill's dynamics and fills. Vinny Appice is good for Heaven and Hell, but I think Bill Ward belongs behind the kit for this Sabbath. However, it could still be good.

I thought them recording was just a rumor? Oh well, I'm glad their recording. Get well Tony.

Just my opinion, but if either ward or iommi isn't on board, I'm afraid they just shouldn't do this album. I want another sabbath record as bad as anyone but if it's not meant to be they shouldn't force it.
