|
| |
We'll see but I haven't heard anything worth while since Roth's original departure.
|
| |
Awesome.
|
| |
Great to see Diamond Dave and the Van Halen brothers together again.
I hope they come to Europe soon.
|
| |
this is that NEWS!
|
| |
let's hope eddie can hit his solos
|

Halen rules
|
| |
One of the best news of 2012
|
| |
Really hoping this is awesome
|
| |
Of course they play most places 3 times and not a single show in Utah, just like everyone else.
|
| |
So, I'm in Brooklyn the 28th of March. All the way from Denmark. Maybe one should go to Washington that date and watch Van Halen! m/
|
| |
Denmark rules hard. Had an exchange student from there and also visited there for a week.
|
| |
^
I've been in Copenhagen three times. Wonderful place.
|
| |
news blows
|
| |
expect RIFFING
|
| |
Indy 2/22
|
| |
Album will probably be shite
|
| |
Album will be shite. Not even giving it a probably.
|
| |
The band has not release a solid, truly consistent album since their debut. And honestly i don't expect them to repeat their 1978 triumph. But i hope the album will be half as good as "1984".
|
| |
BigHans & The Notrap: Yeah Denmark is great, especially Copenhagen. And it's too bad so little of our music in English isn't more well-known other places (well, except for a few bands like fx Volbeat). But I guess it's like that for all small countries.
|
| |
Album will likely be really weak; I'll check it out though I suppose.
|
| |
1 kickass song, two meh ones, the rest = filler
|
| |
HOT FOR TEACHER!!
|
| |
i hate the members as people but the early albums are m/

"2/18 – Louisville, KY | KFC Yum! Center"

"1 kickass song, two meh ones, the rest = filler"
yea, this.
|
| |
All Hail Van Halen. Fuck Van Hagar.
|

protip: the palace of auburn hills is in auburn hills, not detroit
|
| |
Mew is pretty well known here in the states.
I haven't heard many bands from Denmark who actually write lyrics in Danish. Major bummer.
This could either be really good or be a complete fail. I am anxious regardless.
Van Halen was the band that got me playing guitar and drums.

So stoked for this album!
|
| |
Beefshoes: If you wan't to listen to some Danish music, with Danish lyrics, listen to Malk De Koijn. Probably the most popular Hip-Hop group/artists in Denmark. I've added their albums here on Sputnik, but there's no review for them. I was thinking about doing one, but it's no fun writing a review for an album where no one else knows what the lyrics mean.
And yes, Mew is great! Frengers is an excellent album (and they're pretty darn popular in Japan, for some reason; along with Michael Learns To Rock?)

Mercyful Fate, King Diamond and Pretty Maids are my favourite Danish bands.
|
| |
Watched Pretty Maids live about to years ago, in a street-festival before an AC/DC concert in "Horsens". "Please Don't Leave Me" is every Dane's guilty pleasure!
|
| |
"Please Don't Leave Me" is such an amazing song...
Thin Lizzy's cover btw.
Pretty Maids's Future World is one of the most underrated albums of the 80's.
Brilliant album.
|
| |
I actually haven't heard it in it's entirety - might give it a spin the next time I see it (I probably know someone who owns it)
|
| |
Yeah don't miss it. If you like classic 80's metal you will dig it for sure.
|
| |
80's Metal is always fantastic!
|
| |
yessssssssssssssss

|

I hope so.
I saw them once with Sammy but never with Dave. I hope they come to Europe.
|
| |
Honeybabysweetiedoll
tell me that is a joke.
|
| |
I came
|
| |
outta space. he better do some cool guitar shit on that one
|
| |
hopefully he just uses a bunch of of delay and phaser and makes it sound retarded but cool
|
| |
eddies son is in the band......
gonna suck
|
| |
woo! fat sweaty bassists !
|
| |
"Tatoo" video is already available online:

|
| |
The song kinda sucks... too much autotune on Dave. The solo rocks and the bass is surpringly strong!
|
| |
I am sure the whole album won't sound like this but this video is hilarious.
It just isn't the same without Michael Anthony's background vocals though.
|
| |
Yeah, man. That song sucks hard. I didn't even think the solo was really all that good.
|
| |
Sucks that the king of rhythm guitar can no longer write a good rhythm guitar part.
|
| |
I'm not impressed either...
Smells like an average album, hope I'm wrong.
|
| |
Song is very dissapointing.
