Yea, Maiden and Sabbath are definitely much higher quality than Disturbed. Plus, I hear no Sabbath or Maiden influence at all in Disturbed's sound.

come on, im not exactly a fan of these guys, but their music isn't bad, and the genesiks cover was pulled off well i thought.

there's a lot worse bands out there, these guys don't deserve that amount of stick for what they do.

It seems in the Sputnik community that it's not enough to dislike a band. You have to use every ounce of verbal power to destroy them in the eyes of the community.

You know, the band isn't terrible. Believe had some guitarwork on it that was different than every other nu-metal band around back then, owing to the fact that the band actually TOOK some time to write it rather than ripping their labelmates off.

Disturbed has seemed to become the punching bag around the metal community lately. There are far worse bands out there. Some people just need to grow up and pick on bands that deserve it. ie Korn or Linkin Park who are to rich to take chances.

what are you guys talking about? Did you not READ the article. In no way did they say they sound like Sabbath or Maiden

Second, Disturbed isn't that bad, I think they are repetitive, but I have enjoyed some of their songs. Kudos for them to try something new.

You know I would rather listen to Disturbed then the rest of the crap they throw on the radio. I'm not a Disturbed fan, but I do like thier tunes to some degree. There was even a time I disliked them. But you know something they defenitly should not last 30 years, I mean if they do thier music would suck... you know I'm just gonna shut up.
