I JUST posted this same thing, fuck. Yours was set out better, I guess.
Now, is it worth paying to go see JUST System and maaaaybe SlipKnoT...
|
| |
wow, there's a lot of good bands. wish i had the money to go all the way to australia
|
| |
some seriously awesome bands playing alongside some horrible ones
|
| |
some seriously horrible bands playing alongside some even more horrible ones
|
| |
holy fucking shit[2]
Some good bands here
|
| |
Heard the announce, vomited semen and ejaculated pink rainbows.
The lineup surprised me. Amazing.
|
| |
oh my god
|
| |
infinitely better than the BDO lineup
|
| |
oh my god that lineup.....so fucking amazing. So many good bands.
|
| |
Mastodon, System, and DEP alongside one of the least appealing lne-ups I've ever seen.
|
| |
It's gonna be.... LOUD!
|
| |
this is no warped tour. that's for sure.
|
| |
ambivalent
|
| |
That's a pretty sick lineup.
|
| |
Some awesome bands, alongside some other bands that are really there just to make sure it sells. But a fantastic lineup regardless
|
| |
Some fucking amazing bands with some very shitty ones.
|
| |
fucking awesome
|
| |
m/...O_o...lulz...wtf...woot...eww...cool
|
| |
fuckin' A. fuckin maggot for life
|
| |
Might actually go.
|
| |
A WHOLE LOT OF CRAP WITH BANDS TOO GOOD FOR THIS BILL/
|
| |
Yeah fucking amazing lineup. Lots of shitty bands in there with some awesome ones. I'm keen to see a fair few bands so I am definitely going. Mastodon, System, Lamb of God, Devin Townsend, Meshuggah, Machine Head, Lostprophets, Alter Bridge Goijira and Chimara would all be worth seeing. That's enough for me. Oh and I'd probably go see Limp Bitzkit just to lol at Fred Durst if they don't conflict with any GOOD act!
Shits all over BDO anyway.
|
| |
Meshugguh
|
| |
Holy crap! i am so going, enjoy about 80% of the bands on the line-up this is going to be sick!
|
| |
I don't get it, so many shitty bands with so many really great ones...
|
| |
what the fuck is this shit?
|
| |
Meshugguh playing with black veil brides and limp bizkit
Wow
|
| |
Suprised to see Coal Chamber on here. Didn't know Dez reformed the band.
|
| |
seriously, what the fuck is this shit?
|
| |
I am going to this. Of course, Machine Head will be the highlight of my day along with Dragonforce. haha
|
| |
Lucky Aussies, that's a fucking killer line-up, there's like...something there for everyone man. God damn that sounds awesome,.
|
| |
There's enough bands for me to want to get at that shit. Fuck it, I'm flying to Australia next year.
|
| |
Coal Chamber?
|
| |
yeah this is actually pretty good. might go. about 8 bands i'd really like to see, plus a few others that i'd kinda like to see. also i guess jack's mannequin is the token softer band that won't fit in at all this year.
|
| |
There's more than 10 bands I want to see, with more to be announced later. It definitely warrants a ticket purchase, personally.
|
| |
Awesome. Whenabouts is this? I may fly to Australia for this...
|
| |
Who the hell are Cobra Starship? There's only one Cobra at this festival...It's so golden y'all.
|
| |
Anyone who's gone to these festivals before, how much are ticket prices generally?
|
| |
Last year I picked mine up for $130 I think, right after the first announcement, but they climbed after the second and third.
|
| |
couple of good bands but mostly gay
|
| |
pretty awful line up
cro-mags stick out like a sore thumb
|
| |
Devin Townsend, Letlive, Circa Survive, DEP, Gojira and Meshuggah. Wow. Then you have Limp Bizkit, and
fucking Cobra Starship. What in the fuck?
|
| |
what the fuck cro-mags are still doin stuff? didn't even see them
|
| |
God damn this is an amazing lineup. Keen to see:
System of a Down, Limb Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah, Mastodon, Devin Townsend Project, Alter Bridge, Thursday, Dragonforce (for shits and gigs), Steel Panther (for more shits and gigs). God I love Australia
|
| |
what the fuck cro-mags are still doin stuff? didn't even see them
I assume it's some sort of reunion, I remember reading about some shows they did in the states a while ago
|
| |
Keen for Dillinger, Underoath, Circa Survive, Kvelertak, Saves The Day (doing their own set/Weezer covers), Mastodon, Letlive, Raised Fist and Thursday. Hope the second announcement is more varied though.
|
| |
Dates: Late February / early March
Price: Approx. $160 AUD
Lineup is getting very good feedback in Oz (Bl00dy metalheads).
|
| |
Are you going Davey?
|
| |
Planning to. There's still enough on there for a non-metal head like me.
AlterBridge, Lostprophets, The Used, YM@6 (why are they so high up?), Dashboard, Jacks, Thursday, Circa, Versa, TDSummer & of course... STEEL PANTHER!
Quite a few other bands I still need to check out too.
|
| |
Also, AJ is already semi-confirming who he has lined up for the 2nd announcement. So far:
- Danzig (spot on bill query)
- Further Seems Forever (Carraba double book?)
- Falling In Reverse (Radke Visa issues).
AND something the news item does not state is that Saves The Day are performing 2 sets:
(1) Their own set
(2) Playing Weezer's 'Pinkerton' in full.
|
| |
holy shit! If only i was able to go to australia
|
| |
Enough on there for me to be going, although I doubt it'll top the time I had last year.
|
| |
saves the day are such btmi ripoffs
|
| |
I would sacrifice people on Sputnik just to see Coal Chamber.
|
| |
Thats a double soundwave worthy lineup! Kinda necessary to see all the goodies, impossible for 1 day. Man, just gagged on my on balls there. so hott, wat a lineup. Fuck you all. Fuck me. Gauggaaaagaaaaaaauuuuu.....
|
| |
I would have absolutely no problem finding something I wanted to watch if I was there.
|
| |
I would love to see system of a down.
|
| |
Why can't they fucking do something this decent in the US?
|
| |
If I was 14 again, I'd be a lot more excited, but there are still some really great bands here.
Davey, I saw Saves The Day perform Pinkerton at Bamboozle 2 years ago. It's definitely something worth seeing. They do a brilliant job with it.
|
| |
Devin Townsend, Gojira, Meshuggah - it's Bloodstock 2010 again. Underoath too, would love to go to this. Darn you Aussies...
|
| |
While I have no real interest in going to this I am very impressed that so many big name bands have been organised to tour little Aussieland at the same time.
This lineup also makes the current BDO lineup look like balls which strangely pleases me.
|
| |
what an amazing tour holy crap
a lot of terrible bands, but a lot of amazing ones too
|
| |
1/6 of this is worth watching live
|
| |
Davey Boy, I'm going to go to Melbourne so I can stay with you and not have to pay for a hotel.
|
| |
Finally, Watain and Relient K on the same stage.
|
| |
System of a Down
Slipknot
Limp Bizkit
Marilyn Manson
Hole
it's the 90s
|
| |
the sisters of mercy? no way. and ya i wish i could go
|
| |
lol zebrahead? wtf i forgot they even existed
|
| |
i like to see watain and slipknot on the same lineup :] :]
|
| |
christ on a bike. Meshuggah AND the Dangerous Summer?
|
| |
letlive
|
| |
Terrible lineup.
|
| |
Lineup has nothing on last year! Who the fuck actually listens to Slipknot, marilyn manson and limp bizkit!?
Im tempted to go for soad, mastodon, STEEL PANTHER and Danzig if he indeed gets confirmed...
|
| |
this year's lineup was awful, 2012 is far better. it at least has a few good bands.
|
| |
I can't take my vacation by then :/ boo.
|
| |
That is a freaking awesome lineup of bands, holy crap.
There are some really sucky ones in there... *Cough* You Me at Six *Cough*.
But then there's stuff like Devin Townsend and Mastodon. Odd mixu
|
| |
worth going for dillinger, underoath, circa survive, and gojira; despite the huge mass of tossers going for soad
|
| |
some of the best live bands out there on this list. if you go to this and don't watch letlive and DEP, you are quite frankly, fucking up so hard.
|
| |
im going wooot
|
| |
Why is Chad Grey fucking around with Hellyeah? Motherfucker needs to get back with Mudvayne and record a new mediocre album that I'll enjoy quite guiltily.
|
| |
SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!
|
| |
what the fuck.......
|
| |
SYSTEM. Oooh is that Kvelertak too?
|
| |
Soooo many good bands. Don't care what any of the self-hating hipsters above think about it.
|
| |
meshuggah, mastodon, dillinger escape plan, kvelertak, limp bizkit, slipknot, system of a down, hatebreed, gojira, zebrahead, lamb of god
= im there
this is a seriously fun lineup. so many nostalgic 90's bands. awesome as.
|
| |
so many horrible bands
|
| |
I think what many people are forgetting (or not realizing... or being ignorant to) is that this is a 1 day festival. It doesn't matter how many horrible bands (of the almost 80 in total) are on the bill... All that matters is that there at least 10-15 that you do want to see.
|
| |
System of a Down
Slipknot
Limp Bizkit
Marilyn Manson
Woah, slow down there 1999
|
| |
enlighten me as to why saves the day is playing a set of a weezer album? aside from the fact they're a shit band and prolly wanna play at least one set of decent material...
|
| |
fucking metal heads.......
|
| |
Pathetic lineup.
|
| |
probably wouldnt go even if i could get there...
now if this annoucement was 7 years ago id be there
|
| |
Waaaaahhhh...needs more underground up and coming stuff that I discovered before anyone else. Can't figure out if that's what is making me cry or the jeans I bought in the women's section cutting off testicular blood flow.
|
| |
Hell No Bro
|
| |
Aw yeah! Looks like Slipknot, MM, SOAD and Limp Bizkit aren't going to clash! I'm not a fan of any except System but goddamn will it be fun to see them all
|
| |
A few awesome bands mixed in with a lot of shit. Pretty bad line up.
|
| |
"enlighten me as to why saves the day is playing a set of a weezer album?"
Because Weezer won't f*cken tour Australia despite the fact they have been offered (reportedly) great deals multiple times over many, many years.
|
| |
So who is actually going, and more specifically to the Melbourne show?
|
| |
Me.
|
| |
me also
|
| |
Sweet, whos couch can I crash on?
|
| |
You being serioso?
|
| |
Haha nah, I'll just find a hotel with some mates. But hopefully I will be in attendance, just got to sort out what I'll be doing that time next year before I book my tickets.
|
| |
Careful Liberi. The Melbourne show will sell out fairly quickly.
|
| |
Yeah that's what I was thinking
|
| |
AJ said something like 80% has already been sold for Melbourne. Pretty crazy for SW even in Melbourne.
|
| |
Well I better sort myself out quickly then.
|
| |
That's 80% of the pre-sale. Don't quote me on this, but I think they keep back at least 5,000 tickets for the general public sale, which is next Thursday the 20th.
|
| |
Don't worry I'll make sure to quote you exactly when I ring up angrily demanding to know why they won't sell me a ticket and keep giving me the bullsh*t excuse that they're sold out.
"But this guy daveyboy says they're holding back 5000 tickets for the general public, and he should know hes Aussie and hes a staff writer!"
|
| |
They do hold back those 5000 tickets. I think he said capacity is 35000, so somewhere between 24000 and 28000 depending if you take those 5000 into account.
|
| |
That's fucking ridiculous. One of the only good things about living Perth, I guess.
|
| |
Definitely huge for SW. Supposedly Brisbane has sold a similar amount of tickets, but I know our venue holds closer to 50000. I think the craziest thing this week though is Melbourne/Gold Coast BDO tickets not selling out.
|
| |
Had 2nd thoughts about going to BDO last night. Decided on "No". Announcing only 20 acts had a part to play, and the ever-present D-barrier is always enough to put me off.
|
| |
I'm going to Melb
|
| |
Second announcement: Bad Religion, Staind, Wednesday13, Unearth, The Pretty Reckless, Strung Out, Shadows Fall, Cathedral, Tonight Alive, Motionless In White, Heaven Shall Burn, Break Even, Your Demise, The Menzingers, Dream On Dreamer, Kittie, Dredg, Attack! Attack! and The Smoking Hearts.
|
| |
Was considering dredg, but then realised they wouldn't be playing El Cielo in its entirety.
|
| |
pretty bad second lineup tbh. not that it really matters with all the other bands already coming
|
| |
I could swear that he said this announcement would have 2 metal bands tops! Grrr.
|
| |
Pretty happy with the 2nd announcement. Break Even and Heaven Shall Burn have me psyched. And from what I've heard of Cathedral, they seem pretty awesome.
|
| |
Tickets, flights etc. bought for Melbourne concert.
Here I come Aussies!
|
| |
not many tickets left. want to go but idkkkkkkk
|
| |
Tickets, flights etc. bought for Melbourne concert.
Here I come Aussies!
Nice man. You coming solo or with mates? You can crash at my place if you want, but have to promise to get loose and break shit. And smoke the reefer.
|
| |
FUCKING DREDG
|
| |
Tickets, flights etc. bought for Melbourne concert.
Here I come Aussies!
Hide yo kids and hide yo wife
|
| |
so stoked for this now
|
| |
ghey
|
| |
dredg would be cool if they played mostly pre-chuckles stuff
|
| |
Nice man. You coming solo or with mates? You can crash at my place if you want, but have to promise to get loose and break shit. And smoke the reefer.
A few mates and from Thursday.
Also going to stereosonic in early December in Brisbane so might still be a bit high from that by the time I get back in March!
