their lead singer admitted to their first album being nothing but plagiarism, which is one reason i don't like them. cause that album was actually okay, but finding out the band didn't even write the shit and just stole a bunch of old death metal riffs and claimed them as their own is just pathetic.

but don't worry, their new album is "all new original material"

and it's like... christian emmure with slightly better vocals.

well i think he meant it basically being plagiarism in that they just pretty much took the general formula all melodeath bands use to right riffs and songs. and that said, that album was pretty decent. the new stuff was godawful though. christian emmure sounds about spot on

loveisamixtape i read that plagiarism statement from him and i think you misunderstood what he meant. it wasn't literal plagiarism, he just meant that they played variants of at the gates riffs like just about every melodic metalcore band in existence does. they didn't actually take riffs from other bands and copy them note for note obviously.

it doesn't matter though. look what happens when they write their own material, and DON'T rip off at the gates?

you get this fucking bullshit album

yeah i agree this shit sucks. guardians was a lotttt better. if they're gonna rip off a band, i'd rather it be at the gates than emmure.

It's breakdown heavy, that doesn't mean it sounds like Emmure. This song sounds nothing like Emmure, but it's pretty boring.

The band claimed that they changed their style due to a lack of exciting live shows. They tried to make the songs more catchy with god awful melodic singing. I don't mind a group who can sing well but this band are now nothing. Even if the first album was very much inspired by The Black Dahlia Murder, At The Gates and As Blood Runs Black, it was an enjoyable listen. Now it just feels as if I'm listening to Asking Alexandria (which are pretty much shit) I will stick with my other 500 bands I like. If you excuse me gentlemen I'm off to listen to Animals As Leaders.

Lol at the vocalist saying they aren't Christian, they never claimed to be Christian, and they believe in "A God." Dude is the definition of a poser.

How can you fit so many errors into such a short news article?
"The Columbus, Ohio Metalcore group, The Crimson Armada." That's not even a complete sentence and those commas are pretty awkward.

have released a new music video for their song "Forgive Me."
The period should come after the quotation marks.

Frogive me comes off of the groups latest effort, Conviction.

FROgive me? Why no capital M or quotation marks this time? Gotta be consistent.

I liked Guardians but the newer album is just terrible. It raped my ears. I just wanted to go on a little date with it and see how things went but it immediately shoved it's big deformed horrifying sound into my ear hole. I went into shock and couldn't put my earbuds in for a week.

You're wrong.

It's dependent on whether or not the punctuation is part of the quoted text or the ending of the sentence altogether.

There's a difference between.

Jon said, "you're trying too hard to seem smart."

and

You're not too "smart".

Bummer to see a band that was once good turn to complete shit.

The vocalist's side project is a lot better than this. It's a lot more like Guardians. It's called The Hole Guile and you can hear one of his songs on there. He's actually calling the EP he's releasing "Guardians 2.0"
