Taken on face value I think the song and video are a great effort.
It's just disappointing that this was the direction taken by the same band who produced Hybrid Theory and Meteora.

A Thousand Suns was a remarkable new direction for the band, and yet people still complained. But I have yet to see a strong argument as to WHY it's apparently such a bad album.

LP ought to get bashed for half-heartedly churning out albums that sound more and more like the next popular band...but for goodness sake, they're not total failures. They've made some pretty good songs scattered about their discography. One-good-trick pony? Something like that.

The tracks pretty good ust like everything else released off of this album so far but listening to the album itself isnt very pleasent. Tbh i think the people who live or spend alot of there time on this site and other forums have developed some kind of musical autism. You seem like the kind of people (not everyone but most) that would have a mental breakdown if someone had re arranged your clothes draws or changed your fridge magnets around. Linkin park, incubus and in flames posts have brought my attention to how you girls cry about change.

Not gonna lie, I like LP.
A Thousand Suns isn't as bad as everyone treats it. "The Catalyst" is pretty good, and at least half of "Blackout" was good. It just didn't sound like them, and it was recieved so poorly because it was sold to the same fanbase, who, after Minutes to Midnight, were expect another album like Meteora.
Personally, I blame that fucker Rick Rubin for this. He was the producer behind this and minutes to midnight. Not saying they'll make another Hybrid Theory if they got rid of him(If you even liked Hybrid Theory) but they just might get better then this.
But I guess thats LPs future. Nearly everyone is either going to be a fanboy or a hater. And everyone else will just like Hybrid Theory.
