Hoping this is going to be something awesome.
| |
They switch their sound up again big time. Song is very straight forward and underwhelming, but solid nonetheless. Im liking the groove.
| |
Apparently, the new album is going to be a mix of everything.
| |
Really dig the chugga chugga ruffs + in waves. Not so sure about the cleans though.
| |
one word
gay
| |
the chorus part reminds me of something but I cant put my finger on it..
| |
FUCKING BORING
Love that it starts with a 25 second breakdown and the whole song is just another cliché metalcore song. If the whole album is like this it is getting ranked lower than The Crusade.
| |
Nah i got a bit of a man crush for these guys. We'll see.
| |
So do I man which is what makes this soooo disappointing!
| |
oh hey, trivium. aweso- oh, wait, it's not 2007. don't care.
| |
um they sucked in 2007 too
| |
yes i realize that now.
i listened to a lot of garbage back then.
| |
the first 2 albums have some catchy riffs but other than that band is average
| |
pretty cool actually. reminds me a bit of In Mourning's newest album :/
| |
how does this remind you of in mourning there's something wrong with your ears lol
| |
This is very bad, very simple garbage. Hopefully the rest of the album is...you know...not radio-friendly metalcore garbage.
| |
As someone else mentioned, I'm enjoying the groove. Everything else is pretty underwhelming though. Have a feeling I'll listen to this album about as much as Shogun and The Crusade... which wasn't very much.
| |
this was a little better than i was expecting.
| |
Definetely a step back from Shogun, I wish they'd kept progressing on the more complex edge they showed on Shogun, but oh well. Guitar solo was cool though.
| |
Come on guys, DON'T RUIN WHAT YOU HAD ON SHOGUN!
| |
pointless music, but it's better than i expected
| |
It's alright.
| |
Some parts are catchy as hell
| |
I AM HERE TO RIDE BIKE
| |
CUTTING DOGS
FOOKEN
WAAAAAAAH
| |
i liked it - very keen to hear the new album.
| |
EEERRRNN WAAAAAAVZZZ!!!
| |
I thought it was cool. I don't think it'll be as good as Shogun, but I think it'll probably bring back a lot of what I liked about Ascendancy.
| |
The groove in this is so awesome.
Great song overall, very different than what I was expecting.
| |
bloc gtfo you n00b
you still haven't bought me my skim milk!
| |
You should be receiving in 6 to 8 weeks
| |
6 - 8 weeks? wtf are you pulling what you did on my birthday last year? When I ask for skim milk you don't need to have it distilled and special imported from New Zealand!!!
| |
New Zealand you say? Ask Deviant.
| |
Everything takes 6-8 weeks to come from New Zealand. Like this post
| |
Song was bad
| |
lol classic devient
| |
shit
ty
| |
chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga chug
:]
| |
HORRIBLE
and i dont even mind the band
| |
I thought it was okay. Big step down from Shogun though.
| |
Come on guys, DON'T RUIN WHAT YOU HAD ON SHOGUN! [2]
| |
Their song before this "Shattering The Skies" above was awesome. This is just uninspired garbage.
| |
Trivium > your face
| |
loved Shogun.. i'm a bit disappointed, hope the rest of this album is better.. If not, the album will be their worst imo
| |
Sounds a lot like Soilwork, not Trivium.
| |
around the world a-round-the-wor-ruld
| |
Ascendancy >>>>> rest. Don't really care about this band anymore...
| |
Not bad... Trivium is capable of much better but this is pretty enjoyable.
The clean-vocal chorus is very catchy. I like Matt's normal singing voice, I never really understood the hatred some people have for it.
I hope that this is the only song of it's type on the new album, though. I prefer the more epic and progressive style they had going in Shogun over the Ascendancy formula.
This song is structured in the same old generic metalcore format. I'm hoping for something more than that with the new CD.
| |
EEEOOOOOKKKSS!!!
| |
Oh, this band is still around.
| |
Fuck i hate Shogun.
| |
meh ...
| |
Generic, boring. Is this the last fetid fart of trivium?
| |
oh man this is disappointing . Shogun seemed to be back on the right track but this is bad, hoping the rest of the album is better but i got a bad feeling about this.
| |
average as best is what it is
| |
song is really average... Well, at least they're not covering Metallica anymore. Solo is pretty nice
| |
Trivium remains Trivium
| |
Boring, straight forward, and I never want to hear the words "in waves" in succession ever again.
| |
Yep, this is shit. But that was a given.
| |
Weird first solo. And intro. But I like it. Sounds like Heafy's trying to bring in some Capharnaum shit.
Fun song - it's still Trivium business as relatively usual. Not a huge change in sound (though it's a bit different).
| |
Wish they would start writing actual riffs again
| |
Will listen later and rate album as a 5
| |
I'm actually really liking it. Trivium hasn't really done a breakdown like that since 'Rain', and I love it. I of course hope the rest of the album isn't like it, if the album shows enough of diverse stylings in the tracks, I'll love it.
| |
Looking forward to this album.
| |
I'm listening to Agalloch I'll listen to this after I bet it's gonna suck in comparison.
| |
Enjoyed it in waves.
| |
eh better than i expected at least
| |
i can tell who will like this based on their usernames
:]
| |
why can't this band just go away...average at best
| |
I actually dug this. Had a good groove to it. I'll probably check this album out when it drops.
| |
pretty shitty, as was expected
| |
better than i expected but still not anything i'm interested in.
| |
so theres a bit of chugga chugga, then a part which sounded decent, then it goes back to the chugga chugga in waaaaaaaaves. at that point i no longer had any interest in this song and turned it off.
| |
finally being a metalcore band again. theyre better at that
| |
I enjoyed the song, while Shogun schools it, the song was kind of a step back to the Ascendancy days but at the same time, a different sound were used to hearing from them
| |
I like that groovy breakdown, but the chorus and and cleans suck.
| |
their first two albums were good back when they came out, but now they kind of suck. I listened to like 2 seconds of this song, skipped to a part of the song where matt was singing and turned it off.
| |
This song is boring.
| |
That intro wasn't my favorite, but after that first minute I liked the song.
| |
pretty funny metalcore addition
but yeah guys stop beatin a dead horse =(
| |
meh. I like the different parts of the song, but they didn't manage to make them work together. A a
whole, the song has really no flow at all.
And they have to stop the annoying little guitar melodies that they put UNDER EVERY DAMN CHORUS!!!
It already killed shogun to me, I hope their songwriting will be better than this on the album.
PS: like in most of their songs, the break/solo is the best part... strange
| |
Heard one of their songs again the other day. I must not have had ears in Grade 9.
| |
wow these must be some of the worst clean vocals i've ever heard
| |
OMG THIS IS FUCKING BORING I AM SO SURPRISED AND CANT BELIEVE IT!
lulz
This band is terrible
| |
So I finally listened past the intro, which i still hate, and I enjoyed the rest of it. sounds like Trivium to me, but i just can't get past how annoying the chug chug chug In waaaaaaaaaves intro is...
| |
Not bad. I've never minded Trivium. They're just an average metalcore band. There is nothing wrong with listening to them. It is wrong to believe they're the best metal band on the planet (which a lot of their fans believe). For the record, "Shogun" is a solid album.
| |
go back to the shogun sound. Average song..
| |
Eeeenn waaaavvvveess
plays for over a minute, lame
| |
It's alright guys, the Amon Amarth tour makes up for it.
| |
Has an Emperor feel to it.
| |
BRREEEAKKDOWWNN
| |
Apparently their album is going to be called 'In Waves' too.
There's a little fun fact for you all.
| |
after listening to it a few more times, i no longer dislike the intro lol. good song i think.
| |
The only thing i remember trivium for is that metallica cover they did.
| |
