They switch their sound up again big time. Song is very straight forward and underwhelming, but solid nonetheless. Im liking the groove.

Apparently, the new album is going to be a mix of everything.

Love that it starts with a 25 second breakdown and the whole song is just another cliché metalcore song. If the whole album is like this it is getting ranked lower than The Crusade.

This is very bad, very simple garbage. Hopefully the rest of the album is...you know...not radio-friendly metalcore garbage.

As someone else mentioned, I'm enjoying the groove. Everything else is pretty underwhelming though. Have a feeling I'll listen to this album about as much as Shogun and The Crusade... which wasn't very much.

Definetely a step back from Shogun, I wish they'd kept progressing on the more complex edge they showed on Shogun, but oh well. Guitar solo was cool though.

Not bad... Trivium is capable of much better but this is pretty enjoyable.

The clean-vocal chorus is very catchy. I like Matt's normal singing voice, I never really understood the hatred some people have for it.

I hope that this is the only song of it's type on the new album, though. I prefer the more epic and progressive style they had going in Shogun over the Ascendancy formula.

This song is structured in the same old generic metalcore format. I'm hoping for something more than that with the new CD.

I'm actually really liking it. Trivium hasn't really done a breakdown like that since 'Rain', and I love it. I of course hope the rest of the album isn't like it, if the album shows enough of diverse stylings in the tracks, I'll love it.

Looking forward to this album.

so theres a bit of chugga chugga, then a part which sounded decent, then it goes back to the chugga chugga in waaaaaaaaves. at that point i no longer had any interest in this song and turned it off.

So I finally listened past the intro, which i still hate, and I enjoyed the rest of it. sounds like Trivium to me, but i just can't get past how annoying the chug chug chug In waaaaaaaaaves intro is...

Not bad. I've never minded Trivium. They're just an average metalcore band. There is nothing wrong with listening to them. It is wrong to believe they're the best metal band on the planet (which a lot of their fans believe). For the record, "Shogun" is a solid album.
