badass
|
| |
fuck, i posted the same thing
along with 10 other users
oh well
|
| |
Tryna get the new cd preordered
|
| |
its pretty good
|
| |
already done. i'm too broke to order that glorious looking box set, so i went for the bonus edition cd.
|
| |
I need the box set...NEED
|
| |
and it fucking ROOOLLLLEED
|
| |
Actually pretty fuckin' good
|
| |
such an amazing band
|
| |
that song was fucking awesome
|
| |
Track gets buck as fuck
|
| |
really good.
|
| |
It's good but It sounds like everything else they have done.
I hope they stepped outside of the box and didn't just make Constellations part 2.
|
| |
It was pretty alright.
Honestly I was expecting something at least a little new.
|
| |
its ok, absolutely nothing different
|
| |
nothing new, but it still brings those good feelings.
not the holy kind. . .
|
| |
gimme the mega deluxe survival kit package
|
| |
Song owns face
|
| |
this is really badass
|
| |
Fucking rules. Damn.
Also, be aware that this is first track on the album, so it's not necessarily an indication of the entire thing. I have a hunch that we'll be hearing some more post-metal type stuff, ala Meridian, on the rest of the album.
|
| |
It's ABR, talented, but kinda meh
|
| |
Sounds pretty awesome.
|
| |
Great song. Love that bit in the middle, but the final b-down could be better.
|
| |
Fucking awesome I really can't wait for the new album.
|
| |
The breakdown wasn't too bad.
|
| |
i hear some screeches in there.
|
| |
is this band gay?
|
| |
Even the best metalcore band cant keep me from getting more and more disinterested in the same damn song not just from album to album but from band to band. singalong-y part just seems so ADTR and uninspired. still will probably listen to album cuz brokedowns.
|
| |
song is very -_-
|
| |
LOL
|
| |
also i had no idea the michelin man was in this band
|
| |
It's good but It sounds like everything else they have done.
I hope they stepped outside of the box and didn't just make Constellations part 2.
couldn't agree more with you. i will be very disappointed if this album is Constellation part 2.
|
| |
It's good but I was hoping for something a little different...this really sounds like it could have come strait off constellations, which is cool but at the same time...not.
|
| |
June is gonna be great. Leveler and Great Faith in Fools by The Air I Breathe, Hell Ya!
|
| |
yeah, totally dude!!!!!!
i think there's GOOD music being released as well.
|
| |
The Air I Breathe is one band I'm suprised sputnik doesn't know more about.
|
| |
Sounds pretty similar to the last album.
|
| |
these guys blow
|
| |
The song started off pretty awesome.
|
| |
i remember hearing 'thirty and seven' and thinking meh.... album will most likely rule
|
| |
so good
|
| |
Man, I'm stoked for this record.
|
| |
This is alright. The melody just doesn't do it for me, too watered down... This will probably be one of my least favorite track on the album.
But it's a'ight, the new song they played live sounds fucking rad. Hence why i'm not too worried.
|
| |
middle section was good. The rest of it was kinda meh.
|
| |
The part at like 1:50 is terribly cheesy
|
| |
"It's good but It sounds like everything else they have done."
Everything they have done, sounds like everything they have done with slight progressions. New album is basically Thrillseeker Pt.4
|
| |
It's ok. Never been a massive fan of this band but they have a few good songs.
Still sounds pretty generic to me, I'm not sure why others disagree.
|
| |
sounds like constellations pt 2. but still a great song, the middle section is so good.
|
| |
You know, I was expecting more from them. It's great, but really, it would fit perfectly on Constellations. I was hoping they would push some new ground with this one. Who knows, maybe this single is a bad indication of the rest of the record. Hopefully.
|
| |
Sounds like no progression whatsoever, okay for ABR standards.
|
| |
^ This
|
| |
Dont fix what isnt broken. Song kicks ass.
|
| |
"i remember hearing 'thirty and seven' and thinking meh.... album will most likely rule" [2]
"Dont fix what isnt broken." [2]
Thirty and Seven wasnt as good as the rest of the album either so not too worried. Also this band doesnt change which to me is what makes them so amazing. But they do progress I dont know what all of you are talking about. Meridian was way different than past stuff. Everyone has just been copying what other people post.
Also, I thought 1:42 ish was a bit different for them. with the sing-a-long part
|
| |
eh. this was ok. sounds exactly like something off Constellations but whatever. I just hope the rest of the album isnt a ripoff of their last one
|
| |
Sounds exactly like Constellations
Aka amazing
|
| |
And I'm not trying to say this is different its not haha
|
| |
This actually sounds a lot different from Constellations in my opinion. Not in structure or anything. It just sounds like a whole different atmosphere to me. Especially with the kids choir in the middle.
And holy shit box set.
|
| |
Kind of disappointing. I hope the rest of the album is more varied and unique.
|
| |
It wasn't unique but he had new vocals I enjoyed. I'm expecting a dope CD though, they didn't release one of their best tracks off Constellations first.
|
| |
"Thirty and Seven wasnt as good as the album either so not too worried."
WUT
|
| |
sounds exactly like everything else they do, so it fucking rules. stoked.
|
| |
sound off written
|
| |
Sounds kinda like constellations with a touch of messengers
|
| |
i'm sure this album will get some plays outta me
(havent listened to the new song lol)
|
| |
"is this band gay?"
Yes. They're Christian band.
I still want to listen this album though. New song is quite good.
|
| |
+1 for not having to hit the "like" button to listen to the song.
Either way, song kicks ass like I knew it would. Nice touch with the chanting part.
|
| |
Never been a fan of these guys. Half their shit sounds like it's been lifted straight from their other shit.
|
| |
all their songs sound the same...but they all kick ass...so im okay with it.
one of the few good, consisten "metalcore" acts left. as long as misery signals, abr, and shai hulud keep making music, it will still be relevant.
|
| |
So stoked for the rest of the album.
|
| |
so f***in good!!! :]
|
| |
I just listened to Constellations and came to the conclusion that every song on that album is better than this. Hope the rest of the album is better.
|
| |
"They're christian band"
Learn to grammar
|
| |
I just listened to Constellations and came to the conclusion that every song on that album is better than this. Hope the rest of the album is better.
this.
|
| |
Meh. Nothing new. Pass.
|
| |
Interesting little melodic section. I get the feeling they've wanted to do a song like this for quite some time but haven't felt like they could get away with it until now.
That being said, the guitar solo is becoming a little cheesy now.
|
| |
I hope its not a hint at something more, if they attempted clean vocals on this album I'll be so pissed. It wouldnt fit.
|
| |
I would hope they wouldn't try bringing in clean vocals. Maybe for the acoustic song. But hopefully they stay away from that
|
| |
I wouldnt mind it on the acoustic bonus track, but not on the album itself
|
| |
its meh. never really liked them much anyhow.
|
| |
Empire by Amia Venera Landscape is better
|
| |
Really not a bad song by any means, but it sounds just like Constellations. Except Meddler was a fucking awesome single and this isn't...
|
| |
choral section in the middle made me go 'oh yeah'
|
| |
I find Meddler to be one of the worst tracks on Constellations... but whatever.
I want songs that are more progressive, like Marianas Trench and Meridian. Still stoked for this album, but after Constellations, my expectations are pretty high.
|
| |
Then you are going to be sadly disappointed...
|
| |
You can definitely judge this by one song dude...
Good song regardless, generic melodeath influenced metalcore is all you can ever really expect from ABR.
|
| |
Which is why I'm disappointed.
It's generic.
|
| |
No shit, it's August Burns Red lol.
|
| |
So why like it?
Move on to something better.
|
| |
i dont get why everyone faps over this band, theyre so generic i cant get into them
|
| |
You and millions of other people.
|
| |
"choral section in the middle made me go 'oh yeah'"
^ this.
|
| |
well this was... idk boring? the begining was aight thought but i get flashbacks from constellations with this, also lyrics are pretty stale
|
| |
I think this is great! I feel like every album they have made has been better than the last. I really like this song, and I really like Thirty and Seven. ABR seriously rules.
|
| |
This is the reason why i still have hope: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iOcCsrOSs0
|
| |
Also, the live videos of this song show none of them singing the whoa's. So I'm pretty sure they want that to be crowd led, but my point is I wouldn't worry about cleans.
|
| |
I've always liked August Burns Red. They're one of the few melodic metalcore bands that does it right.
|
| |
pretty standard for ABR at this point. not boring or anything but i feel like it could basically be a constellations b-side. still excited about what else could be on the cd.
|
| |
This is the reason why i still have hope: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iOcCsrOSs0
Same, video quality isn't good enough to REALLY judge but from what I can tell that song is really good.
|
| |
Empire by Amia Venera Landscape is better [238716231]
|
| |
Song is decent. I don't get why some people fall in love with some metalcore bands and absolutely despise other ones. Why is this song so much better than the Of mice and Men song posted?
|
| |
If you can't tell the difference between metalcore like this and metalcore like Of Mice And Men then your speakers or ears must be broken.
|
| |
Yeah, and i don't get how people can say this sounds like it could be off Constellations. Every song on Constellations sounds better and more aggressive than that. The riffs kind of have a pop-punk feeling. The whoa-whoa is ADTR-retarded, and so is the solo following.
|
| |
how this band hasn't run out of breakdowns yet is beyond me... or maybe they have and you people just didn't notice
|
| |
Used to love these guys, but I swear if they put out the same album for the third time in a row, im done.
|
| |
If you can't tell the difference between metalcore like this and metalcore like Of Mice And Men then your speakers or ears must be broken.
---------------
They sound like different bands but they still both sound like the same type of generic metalcore. I just don't see how somebody could love one of these bands and hate the other. I guess my ears are broken because bands like those , memphis may fire, and others all sound the same. It seems like you should either love all of them or hate all of them.
|
| |
^ None of those bands sound the same.
And how can others say this doesn't sound like constellations but sounds like ADTR? wut?
|
| |
August Burns Red has cool guitar, and Of Mice & Men doesn't.
|
| |
Or really gay clean vocals
|
| |
August Burns Red is lightyears ahead of Of Mice & Men.
but the truth is that this record is going to sound exactly like constellations and will bore me to
death
|
| |
i wish this was more Thrill Seeker influenced rather than a mash of constellations and messengers. nonetheless, we get amazing music from an amazing band...
|
| |
"And how can others say this doesn't sound like constellations but sounds like ADTR? wut?"
Completely missed the point here.
|
| |
The chorus in this sounds nothing like ADTR. ADTR does a more cheesy "gang vocal" thing. I think the choral section in this song was much more tasteful.
|
| |
Some of you clearly lack reading comprehension.
|
| |
Not liking the comparison of ABR and ADTR.
|
| |
"I want songs that are more progressive"
LOLWUT
This band doesn't even have the slightest bit of progressive in them.
|
| |
I'm saying I think this sounds much like constellations but with some diverse aspects, and that it definitely sounds nothing like adtr. So how can people say its different from constellations and sounds like adtr? I mean I guess it boils down to opinion but neither is true to me. The only similarity made could be the gang vocals everyone is discussing and those by adtr, as stated, are cheesy poppy and stupid. These sound nothing like those.
|
| |
I hate the shit all this band gets now. Sure, back in the Messengers days, they were bland and repetitive as hell, but Constellations really blew all of their other work out of the water, on both a technical and pure enjoyment level. They're extremely talented and definitely deserve more respect in the metal community.
Well, that was my two cents.
|
| |
cool song. can't wait for the new record
|
| |
