His singing is just so monotone and plain. The singing on Precambrian was probably made even better because it was rare. This is just too focused on vocals.

Loved Fluxion, but was turned off by Helio. However, I can't wait to get around to this.

I don't think this is that bad of an album. It is actually pretty good. I understand the high expectations that everyone has because Precambrian was just so damn amazing as well as previous efforts. So yes, everything they do will compare to that album or previous albums. However, I am 4 songs in and find it to be good. It is going to be hard to top Precambrain; so, you are going to have to deal with a good record.
