so disappointing... hopefully the second line-up has something decent, the third is usually redundant anyways. Might be able to scrounge a decent day out of it if i decide to go

We've actually got some pretty good stuff out here in BC. Plus, Sasquatch is pretty close.

I don't know what so many people are complaining about. The line up is epic.

My immediate thought when I saw both tool and deftones was whether they'd play passenger together too. Sure hope so!

Such a terrible lineup. Iggy and The Stooges are the only international act that I'm interested in. I really wanna see a ton of the aussie bands though so...

Pass... Line-Up does nothing for me.

I'm hoping Laneway fest (announced in 2 weeks time) will be good enough to replace BDO this year. So far; Local Natives & Menomena are heavily rumoured.

Nice to see Deftones and tool on the bill. Too bad I can't be bothered travelling from Hamilton to Auckland and forking over admission just so I can be forced to the back by a bunch of assholes who aren't even listening to the music

It is a fair warning for all travellers though.

And don't worry, come January, Hamilton probably will have merged with Auckland by then.

what would be cool is if a sideshow was played with both tool and the deftones together.
electro-pop averted!
also, the crowds there are pretty shit.
mastodon played first last year to a bunch of teeny boppers and coked-up prostitutes and nobody watched them, so it's awesome that the BDO organisers have headlined with a prog-metal band once again.

The National are doing shows in early January, why do you guys seem to think they'll play BDO? I'm hoping for a Southbound sideshow for The National personally, because it's filled with the same bunch of braindead dumbasses that seem to run rampant at Big Day Out.
