Big Star bassist dies 2010-07-20 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 18 Comments | Original Big Star bassist Andy Hummel has died aged 59 following a long battle with cancer.
Hummel was diagnosed two years ago, though he lived to see the death of bandmate Alex Chilton, who died of a heart attack in March.
