Stoked for this.

Power metallers, this article is full of lols
Dragonforce sucks live
|
| |
Wait the irony of this is fantastic
|
| |
cool, i guess
|
| |
can they even play their songs live?
some of the time, from when i saw them
this is a really really bad idea
|
| |
It's ok Thor, that's why Sam and Herman are in the studio helping produce the album ;)
|
| |
this is pointless and a waste
|
| |
not a fan of the band, but they are actually not so horrendous live.
|
| |
They did get better.
|
| |
they are horrrrrrrrrrrible live. releasing a live album is a horrible decision
|
| |
When i saw them back in the day, it was the sonic firestorm tour i think, they were actually pretty good live. that was their last decentish album though. now i cant bear to listen to them.
|
| |
it takes a very specific person to rush out and buy a live dragonforce album
|
| |
a stupid person
|
| |
I heard they've improved live
|
| |
lol wut?
|
| |
there's also a chance that they'll still be as drunk and sloppy as they always are live
and that chance is much higher
|
| |
"DragonForce to put the last nail in the coffin of their career"
|
| |
DRAGON!!!! FORCE!!!!
|
| |
i saw them back in 08, and i thought it was terrible
|
| |
I saw them a couple years ago, and was surprised at how excellent live they really were. That being said, I have no plans to pick this up. Half the fun of watching perform live is watching roadies pour Jack Daniels down the bassist's throat, or watching both guitarists insult the other when performing solos.
|
| |
tthey dont get everything spot on musically allll the time but overall its still a decent, fun concert i thought
|
| |
Dragon Force? More like Drag on Force, amirite?!
|
| |
it's Guitar Hero on expert!
|
| |
The only good thing about this album is that it will make my objectivity on this site go up.
|
| |
they can't even play their guitar solos live, this is going to be terrible

"Wait the irony of this is fantastic"
|
| |
Oh, no. I don't particularly hate this band, but... a LIVE album?
|
| |
i saw them back in 07, what the fuck they were terrible, i like left halfway thru the set. at least there vocalist is gone. but i dnt really see this being a good album at all.
|
| |
i've seen them live twice (once at ozzfest and once when cynic and powerglove opened for them) and they were surprisingly good both times.
|
| |
lol dragonforce
|
| |
Some of the auditions on youtube aren't that bad
|
| |
Theart parted company with the band in March citing "irreconcilable differences of musical opinion."
"Guys, could we write a song that's not in G major? Just once?"
|
| |
This^
If they made even a small change in their music it would mean a world of difference.
|
| |
twilight dementia sounds like a muse song for a future soundtrack
|
| |
"The album, which will no doubt do well in the search engine stakes on account of its tween-friendly title,"
lol
|
| |
i heard them at mayhem a couple years back, and they were really really really terrible. sounded like complete and utter shit.
|
| |
"was recorded across 19 UK shows"
It took 19 shows for them to find 1 of every track they play on their sets that sound alright.
|
| |
I wasn't aware people still cared about this band
|
| |
Nice album title. Like a mix of Twilight and the Muse song, Space Dementia.
|
| |
dweeeedleeeedleeeedledoodoodweeeedle
|
| |
Lol!
That is all...
|
| |
'grats for Theart
|
| |
Lol, Dragonforce blows so hard live. This is gonna be HILARIOUS.
|
| |
they are releasing this album (which will be worked majorly in the studio) to let all the morons that watch it that they can actually play live.
|
| |
TWILIGHT! DEMENTIAAAA! makes me think of someone
watching twilight and going fucking crazy. bad time to release an album with that title
|
| |
Given their legendary piss-poor live performances this doesn't sound like a great idea, unless they can speed up live recordings???
|
| |
im pretty sure it will be edited to fuck.
|
| |
When I saw them with BTBAM way back in the day, they absolutely killed it. Every note was dead on. Including vocals. And the solos seemed even more insane than on the album.
In an interview with Guitar World (I think) Herman said that they were doing so shitty live (at least he admitted it) because of poor on-stage sound. Being a musician myself, most places do have shitty stage sound. The band invested in some in-ear monitors and from what I've heard they've drastically improved since.
Still a snooze-fest band though. Valley Of The Damned is enjoyable.
|
| |
Maybe you don't remember it right and you're actually talking about BTBAM's performance?
Seriously though, I'm sure DragonForce have pulled off a decent live performance or two in their day. I'm still not convinced this will be any good, though.
|
| |
I wouldn't be surprised if they re-recorded all of the solos and vocal parts in the studio and left the rhythm section and the crowd cheers live.
Or maybe they'll just re-record all of the tracks in a studio, and just dub in crowd noises.
|
| |
ultra beatoff
luls
|
| |
Half the people commenting on how horrible they are live have probably never even seen them live before. When I saw them a couple of years ago they weren't half bad.
|
| |
Dragonforce sucks live
I've seen this claim countless times, and I've seen Dragonforce twice...both times they played their songs album-perfect.
Where'd you see them?
|
| |
anyone seen that video where their guitarist/bassist/whatever falls off stage? fuckin hilarious, i would post it but i cant find it
|
| |
The album, which will no doubt do well in the search engine stakes on account of its tween-friendly title
haha
Since their studio albums are enhanced is every possible way, this will probably get heavily overdubbed. I used to enjoy a few of their songs, now I just don't care about them anymore. No idea the singer left.
|
| |
That title is sheer genius.
As for the band, well, they suck.
|
| |
19 shows
13 songs
|
| |
Yeah, I just noticed that. What the hell?
|
| |
I wouldn't be surprised if they re-recorded all of the solos and vocal parts in the studio and left the rhythm section and the crowd cheers live.
Or maybe they'll just re-record all of the tracks in a studio, and just dub in crowd noises.
Such a thing already happened. It's called Origin of the Feces. Once again, Peter Steele beat everyone to the joke.
I've seen this claim countless times, and I've seen Dragonforce twice...both times they played their songs album-perfect.
Where'd you see them?
I can tell you right now that you will never get an answer to that question. Dragonforce have a reputation for coming on stage already blasted and have never shook the stigma. As such, no one who saw them do a good live show will admit it because then they won't be able to join the chorus of jeering and endlessly repeated jokes.
|
| |
They were opening acts both them. I wouldn't pay to see dragonforce...but I also wouldn't say they sucked live when they didn't. Well..they might have sucked, but thats' because of their songs, not their performance.
|
| |
Studioforce.
|
| |
herman ri
|
| |
hahahaha this is the worst idea ever
|
| |
they suck live
|
| |
well i saw them live only once in 07, and their performance blew ass, mabye if the guitarists were not trying to drink beer and play at the same damn time they could be better live, tho i have heard they have ''improved'' greatly since, i just dnt even care anymore. but i will want to see how bad they overdubb this haha
