I agree with everyone else. This was quite surprising to me, especially after their last album, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's nice to see bands that don't do the same thing and try to switch it up a bit.

Whoa.. A lot more straightforward than a lot of their stuff. We'll see if that's a good thing or a bad thing when the rest of the CD
comes out.

Edit: 10 Years. SCREAMS. whut

Wow...pleasantly surprised by this song. This band bored me with their older stuff. This album has great potential.

i really want to go see them live, because i love them immensely, but they tour with generic radio rock bands, and theyre better than that.

i seen them live just before they released the autumn effect. the clarity in jesse's voice was amazing.

Check out some of their stuff from Killing All that Holds You for some more of his screaming--it's pretty limited but pretty nice nonetheless. It's their first album before they got signed to a label.

I think the track All White has a relatively small amount of screaming, At a Loss has a bit more.

Eh a bit nu-metally but it was solid.

Eh....it's ok. I liked Autumn Effect when I first heard it, but it kind of lost its lustre the next time I put it on

Not much about this band really stands out. The vocalist is just way too one dimensional.

Its not Jesse doing the screaming. During the chorus, its his voice put over Ryan "Tater" Johnson the one who is screaming. Tater is also the one who screams the last 2 "Shoot it shoot it out cause they want it want it now now". They also debut 2 other songs on the radio a while back at like 8 in the morning. Being "Now Is The Time" (live vids on youtube) and "Chasing The Rapture" (not on youtube...) They've really went with a much more hard hitting sound this time. If you look at my name you can pretty much figure out im biased in this. From what I've heard though "Feeding The Wolves" will kick ass. Other than that it'll be a solid heavy 10 Years album.

sounds more promising than the whole of division anyway

It's heavier but it's not really all thaaaaat great. I'll admit that it wasn't what I was expecting, but that doesn't really mean that it's amazing.

However, if this is the sound they're going for then I'll prolly like it more than Division. Autumn effect is hit and miss with me, but what is good on it is really fucking good.

I'm disappointed with the single and hope the rest of the album is much better. Sounds pretty derivative/unremarkable, much like I found most of Divisions to be. I think Autumn Effect is one of the best hard rock albums to come out during the last several years, but I have been underwhelmed by the direction the band took since that release.

I'll have my review up in 2 or 3 days time. Just as a teaser, they have about 3-4 nu-metally songs like this on the 1st half of the album & 'Shoot It Out' is clearly the best of them. The others are really disappointing.

The rest of the album is solid & along the lines of 'Division' without the literal (for want of a better word) corniness. Ultimately, this is a step down, but not significantly. A lot of the songs seem very underwhelming on the first couple of listens, but eventually grow on you.

Anything remotely reminiscent of The Autumn Effect?

Unfortunately, not enough of them Brah. The 6 minute closer could easily fit on 'TAE' and I think many around here will find it the best song on the album.

There are 2 other songs that are 'TAE' like, in that they are deceptively hooky but have that layered atmospheric sound that was their quality trademark.

Man, it sounds like I'm talking very negatively... But me being me, I don't mind 2 or 3 of the mainstream sounding tracks on it.
