Manic Street Preachers album news

The Manic Street Preachers will release their tenth album, Postcards From A Young Man, in late September.

The band have described the new record as a return to the style of Send Away The Tigers. Bassist Nicky Wire said: "It's going to be an amazing album...Send Away The Tigers was Permanent Vacation, this next one is our Pump."

Wire added that the record would sound like a "heavy metal Tamla Motown. Van Halen playing The Supremes! I know there's a lot of creativity in us and obviously because I didn't write lyrics on the last record, I've got tons of words done."

A string of UK tour dates have already been announced to coincide with the release, with British Sea Power in support.
