oh that's a yucky album title and a really bad song
|
| |
album has a little potential
|
| |
verb the noun
|
| |
This album has a 40% chance of being decent, a 50% of being horrible, and a 10% chance of being good.
|
| |
no, it is BAD. Sounds like We Came As Romans or another band with high-pitched singing vocals. I miss Jimmy Ryan in this band.
|
| |
Dreamer was good, but they really should change the band name. I miss the Burning Bridges/When Everything Falls HTD
|
| |
Pressure the Hinges was their last that I enjoyed. And they should change the name, the band has zero original members except for the bassist and uh...he doesn't matter.
|
| |
I've never listened to them before and never will, but I've deduced that they fucking suck solely because of that promo image.
|
| |
lol
|
| |
I actually thought the song was pretty good
A lot better than i was expecting
|
| |
68 is still a beast song.
|
| |
I quite like this
|
| |
Emim have you listened to Trenches?
|
| |
I heard a song of theirs that was on the Fuel Sampler.
|
| |
cool don't tell me if you liked them or anything
|
| |
Ha ha, I was wondering if you'd notice that.
Yeah, it was a pretty cool song. "Sacrament" I think it was...
|
| |
they're decent post-metal. I'm a sucker for Jimmy Ryan's vox, but the album does get a bit repetitive/boring
|
| |
I probably won't check it out. Post-metal really isn't my thing.
|
| |
I liked it.
|
| |
There are 0% juns in this song.
|
| |
Pretty decent actually. I thought that they would be done for when Brennan left. Pressure the Hinges lineup was by far their best imo.
|
| |
I thought it was pretty boring too, was expecting a bit more from him I guess
|
| |
Pressure the Hinges was great but Burning Bridges remains my favorite HTD album. Gotta love me some Jimmy Ryan.
|
| |
I know its cool to hate this band now, but I personally liked it. Nothing new for them, but it wasn't bad or painful to hear.
|
| |
Im actually diggin this man! Was a fanboy of these guys for like 2 years when I was getting into heavier music, still love them tbh
|
| |
Terrible song. This band has degraded with age. Awful screams and WTF gay, whiny clean vocals? What happened to their old singer?
|
| |
"The Attack Of The Wolf King" Wat?
|
| |
"verb the noun"
I laughed. (I don't lol, I'm a man.)
|
| |
Old singer's been gone since 04'ish Balls.
|
| |
this is sad.
|
| |
lawl this song is without any doubt mindblowingly good -
especially if we have "dreamer" in mind which was just awful.
good to hear the singing section back in shape,
burning bridges/pressure the hinges was awesome clean material
and the funny thing is - this may be even better.
anyway I am a sucker for high cleans...
hope the whole record will sound like this.
beautiful melodic guitars(no overdone chugging) & high cleans...
gj HTD.
|
| |
i agree with bigtuna
|
| |
whhaaaaaaat? I like this. It's definitely different, though.
|
| |
Old singer's been gone since 04'ish Balls.
I think he means the the one that was on Dreamer, I think he left too.
|
| |
Old singer's been gone since 04'ish Balls.
Tell me if I'm wrong, but I think the majority of the clean vocals were done by the guitarist (even when Jimmy Ryan was around), who was the most recent one to quit I think.
I can't say I really enjoy the clean vocals whatsoever, but for some reason I really don't hate the song. I figured after losing their drummer and the guitarist (two of the few reasons to listen to the band), they were finished. I'm kind of looking forward to this now. The only redeemable song on Dreamer was Resolve, and that's only really because of the drums in the opening lol. Pressure the Hinges was good.
|
| |
The cleans vocals on Dreamer were very well done imo.
|
| |
this band just keeps going downhill. shame. figured their time was up after their recent falling out.
|
| |
The Attack of the Wolf King? they're obviously out of ideas.
|
| |
Surprisingly better than I expected, especially considering that one of the guys in the band is on video saying "It's awesome, it's got sweet breakdowns, man, and uh, catchy choruses, and it's just really sick"
|
| |
I tried to like these guys, but I just can't get into them.
|
| |
Wasn't expecting quite what I got, It's pretty standard fare. Mind you the guitar is pretty decent.
the vocals blow Dreamer right out of the water. That CD was just fucking irritating
edit: Should probably clarify, Dreamers harsh vocals were nauseating-Sometimes~-, the cleans were
pretty solid
|
| |
Clean vocals used to be done by the guitarist AND the drummer. The brothers.
|
| |

I really don't think this song is "without a doubt mindblowingly good"
|
| |
sad for you man :/
did you rly enjoy dreamer?
this is only a step up. and a big one as well, if you'd ask me.
|
| |
Stop hitting enter at the end of every sentence.
Seriously.
Stop.
|
| |
...
whut the fuck happened here. new singer is shit, what really made this band for me (at least, after Jimmy left) was the brothers' singing.
|
| |
I have not really enjoyed an album since Pressure the Hinges, and even that was not Burning Bridges good. I have a place in my heart for Jimmy Ryan. This...this sounds like EVERY other post-hardcore/metalcore band around. Nothing defining at all.
|
| |
I like it.
Last Haste The Day I liked was the EP with Dry Season on it.
|
| |
I got into these guys a little before I joined sputnik when I was going through my christian-core phase. I still find their first album fairly enjoyable, but everything they've put forth since has just been more of the same.
|
| |
it's a big surprise. I liked it a lot more than I was expecting. Sure, it's very different, but I'm stoked to hear more.
|
| |
Amen, Tuna. arghhhhhhhhhh
|
| |
HTD now has the lead guitarist from Phinehas, and the drummer from Once Nothing for this album. Both are solid dudes, able to shred their respective instruments hard, so this album should be one of their best: listen to the shreddy nibs in the background from 0:40-0:52 ... this album is going to be a lot more technical, which bodes well for them and those who dug Pressure the Hinges. i'm digging this already
|
| |
Man, they used to be good too.
|
| |
I can dig it...
|
| |
THis song is pretty good, but its not haste the day. They really need to change their band name.
|
| |
word
|
| |
Seemed to be on a downward spiral following Jimmy Ryan's departure and Pressure the Hinges only had a handful of decent songs. 68 was awesome off the last one but there wasn't much else. This song however was ok.
|
| |
Whoa, it's boring.
Wait, I just noticed that when my attention shifted to something else, the song got slightly more enjoyable.
|
| |
burning bridges is pretty ace

their older stuff was so much better but this isn't really bad. the beginning of this song kind of sucks though.
|
| |
HTD now has the lead guitarist from Phinehas, and the drummer from Once Nothing for this album.
Once Nothing had an awesome drummer. Damnit! Now you have me interested again!
|
| |
One of the better things they've ever written. Change the band name.
|
| |
Dreamer was a very good release, but they'll never top Burning Bridges.
|
| |
123.
|
| |
Burning Bridges was amazing, When Everything Falls was solid, PTH was eh, Dreamer was good. . this will be alright
|
| |
Burning Bridges was amazing
QFT
|
| |
One of the better things they've ever written.
what?
|
| |
BUUURRRNING BRIDGESSSS!!!
|
| |
ps. when is Trenches going to release something new?
|
| |
No clue, I'm listening through Burning Bridges right now, such a good album.
|
| |
@Fig: their myspace says recording so hopefully soon.
|
| |
whiny clean vocals ruin metal bands
|
| |
When Everything Falls was pretty crappy tbh. There were a few good songs but it was so bland and uninspired.
|
| |
I didn't mind WEF, not as good as Burning Bridges and a lot more repetitive.
|
| |
Big fan of Burning Bridges. Everything since, notsomuch. But seriously, this is one god awful album title.
|
| |
album should be cancelled
|
| |
aparently they're covering Black Eyed Peas on this album. Can't wait pffffft
|
| |
giuseppe (drums) from once nothing + scott (lead guitar) from phinehas = a better version of the original line-up. breakdowns
will probably be more technical, and the song structures will probably vary a lot more, so this album has the potential to be one
of their best. but just in case it isn't, do yourselves a favour and go listen to btbam's "colors" right now to hear what metal should
be
|
| |
dude no one on here has listened to Colors so that's a great suggestion!
|
| |
I personally really enjoy WEF; I think it's great, but it's hard to top such a masterful album as BB.
|
| |
lol, i know tuna. colors = best metal album imo. i know htd and btbam are two totally different styles, but it's always nice to take
a break from the uncertainty of a new album and fall back on something solid that you know you enjoy
|
| |
I'm sorry, I was being facetious. Go take a look at how many ratings Colors has.
|
| |
lol sorry. i guess i just defaulted to the line of thinking that HTD fanboys wouldn't have really gotten into something as substantial as Colors
|
| |
i digrees tho. the opening breakdown to "Chorus of Angels" off of PTH was heavy as heck. and the lyrics were amazing ... i think this new HTD album has a ton of potential
|
| |
anyone hear about this... cause its sounds awesome
On June 29, 2010, Haste The Day will have a press-release concert in Bloomington, Indiana where the original lineup (Jimmy,
Brennan, Jason, Mike and Devin) will come back to perform on stage for the first time since December 2005 to play songs from
the first two LP's and EP, and the New Haste The Day lineup will play the newer songs. The show is being professionally filmed for
a dvd release.
got this from wiki btw...
|
| |
I did from AP I think, so jealous.
|
| |
im pretty sure i could make it to that... provided tix are available
|
| |
You slut. You better go. I would love to see Jimmy Ryan on vox's again doing American Love...
|
| |
american love is one of the best metalcore songs ever.
|
| |
Eh, I liked half of one of their albums back when they had another vocalist because it was generic, but it was GOOD. This.... I don't think I'm impressed. It left little to no impression on me, I'm afraid.
|
| |
thats amazing. That will be the best show..
|
| |
Forgive me for running so quickly to the outside
|
| |
yay, more sub par metalcore
|
| |
Definitely not the most technical band out there but its pretty solid stuff. For me its hard to judge the song without the context of teh whole CD. I didn't really like the sound of some of the songs on Dreamer until I listened through the CD a few times. Dreamer was actually a really good CD and I gotta say I like the growls on the new singer. The song sounds kinda boring but ill reserve my judgement till i listen to the whole CD.
|
| |
The screams sounded heaps different. I wonder if it's just gonna be stephen doing the clean singing or brendon doing some singing too
|
| |
