Deathcore, technically, isn't stuff like this. It's stuff like The Red Chord, Despised Icon, Glass Casket, etc.
BUT
"Deathcore" in it's popular meaning, refers to stuff that's death metal with super slow, chugging breakdowns.
The popular meaning of deathcore is the one people on this site use.
This song fits under the popular meaning of deathcore, and it sucks.

hardcore + metal = metalcore
metalcore + death metal = deathcore
typical characteristics of deathcore which are taken from metalcore include melodic death metal riffing, breakdowns. Hardcore and deathcore are completely different genres. Hardcore has similarities in metalcore because bands commonly use breakdowns which are transferred to this, gang vocals, two step rhythms and so on. Deathcore is a fusion of death metal and metalcore, not hardcore so you need to forget this idea right away.
If you are still uncertain check out any definitions of deathcore. You will find I am correct.

I was using the term deathcore before everyone was throwing it around to mean any band with breakdowns and gutturals brah.
I was in a deathcore band in High School.

Listen to the song Of Adornment And Disgust by Skycamefalling, or Anyone Can Dig A Hole, But It Takes A Real Man To Call It Home by Underoath. These songs have a lot more similarity to hardcore than breakdowns and gang-vocals (since most good metalcore doesn't have gang vocals). Why is this music so hardcore influenced? Because it's metallic hardcore, or metalcore.
Deathcore is a form of metalcore, but it focuses on death metal. Listen to Knights Of The Abyss or Despised Icon, these bands actually have hardcore pats, not just fucking breakdowns.

The hardcore elements are far more watered down, I just mentioned the areas of metalcore which they incorporate into their music. As it happens they aren't generally a huge hardcore orientated band. Is scandanavian style melo death riffing not a symbol of metalcore, are breakdowns not a huge characteristic. Both of these are present in this album which obviously means there are roots into metalcore but not necessarily hardcore. I really don't think this is too difficult to understand.
