I suppose so, I don't know, I actually like most of the songs on the list... it just kinda... irked me, in some inexplicable way. Maybe because they had two Girls songs in the top 10 which aren't even really that great.

Yeah I wasn't a huge fan of the list and I usually like Pitchfork.
I also really just don't like "Stillness Is The Move." The rest of the album is great though.

Curse.

Thought it was a pretty good list. Most of the songs I checked out from it that I hadn't heard were great. That HEALTH song rules.

stillness is the move is by far my least favorite track from bitte orca and I would put that album in my top 5 of 2009. it's entirely too poppy and feels out of place on the album IMHO. as for pitchfork's list... can't say I'm too surprised. they live in their own twisted, little world and this list does nothing to alter my perception of them.

i completely hate pitchfork music. they have horrible taste in music, they are incredibly biased, and they hate on certain bands

There were so many things on that list that I've never even heard of. Well, Pitchfork retains it's indie-cred I suppose.

They're a fucking music publication site, of course they have biases towards their favourites, and of course they hate on certain bands. It's no different then Sputnik. They only have a "horrible taste in music" cause you don't like it. Jesus people can be so dumb sometimes.

^ It has a great chorus, but "ra ra ra ma ma" as a verse is not exactly... er, great.

Not anywhere close to enough extreme music on here to be valid.

Just thought I'd slide those two statements beside each other... I'll let you take it from there.

It seems that they were more interested for the most part in using single than actually trying to find the best songs on the ablum (i.e. Two Weeks over Southern Point? really?). Not surprising to see AC take the top spot even though Bluish and Graze are far superior to their list counterparts.

They gave Sky a 10 in the track review and My Girls a 9, Sky probably missed the cutoff date or something.
