What's he addicted to? Heroin? Since he blantantly rips off everything about Kurt Cobain, he might as well shoot up like him too.

What'd he rip off of Kurt Cobain? Are you serious? Everything they do musically is a carbon copy of Nirvana.

i dont see that, i can't see how Remedy can be compared with anything that Kurt has done. There may be a little influence but not that much.

i do, he has the same rasp in his voice, and almost all of the guitar work is similar, seether just put it to better use. i will agree with bron on that, even being a fan of seetherThis Message Edited On 07.29.06

maybe i just need to listen closer. I can understand the rasp and all...but lyricaly and the musicianship i dont see. I dont think Seether would purposely go out and try to sound like Nirvana. Thats kind of like when STP came out, and everybody was blaming them for imitating Nirvana..but really its just STP playing STP.

i can see your side of that, either way, i think that seether is good as who they are, but Shaun just needs to get his head out of his @$$ and fix himself up. i also agree with you on the whole 'remedy' thing. it doesnt sound like them at all, but some songs are really similarThis Message Edited On 07.29.06

Too bad. He hasn't been looking down lately; their live set on Jay Leno was pretty good.

i know nirvana is a big infulence on them but really thier music sounds almost nothing alike. only parts here and thier hint at nirvana.

as far as what he is addicted too...it most likely is alcohol. he has too much excess weight to be addiscted to crack. also this explains his beer belly.

it was beer, but so was everyone...well minus John, and he always talks about beer man.

And as far as sounding similar, it's just the sound, the grunge sound, his songs aren't copies. And besides it just proves how well Kurt's music effected people and helped them, which is what Shaun is trying to do.

Lay off him about that kind of stuff, everyone goes through shit and just cause his way to deal with it is music and cause he's influenced by Nirvana doesn't give anyone a right to beat him up about it. Especially when there are other bands out there doing worse. This Message Edited On 08.08.06

These are all old comments and probably no one is going to see this but well I'm pretty annoyed here. I am a recovering addict of both meth and heroin. Admitting this will probably mean some people that do read this will discount my opinion but I don't care. So, A) I, even while using was big that really has nothing to do with it. B) I have been a Nirvana fan since the time most of you were still in diapers. Shaun Morgan says that Nirvana is the reason he picked up a guitar(and how nice that he did!). However, there is a big difference in being influenced by another artist and ripping them off. First off your voice is your voice. Second, Kurt usually didn't put a lot of thought behind most of his lyrics, it was always music first. That isn't my opinion it is what Kurt has been quoted as saying many times. Seethers lyrics are obviously well thought out. Thirdly, if he is a heroin addict it would explain why he identified with Nirvana's music (so did I, 'And I forget just why I taste, Oh yeah I guess it makes me smile, I find it hard, it's hard to find, oh well, whatever, nevermind...'). C)If he is a heroin addict it is his buisness and hell to get through. Who is any to judge him. And lastly D) 'sounds like his addiction needs a remedy', is not clever! It is very obvious that that is what he is talking about in that song and if you didn't know that, you should pay more attention to the lyrics of the song your making a pun about unless you want to sound like a jackass! The End
