Jay-z vs Killa Cam

2006-01-26 by Viper venom | 6 Comments
It has been reported that Cameron Ripped at Jay-z for leaving Roc-A-Fella...Do we have a comeback for this?

"Harlem rapper Cam’ron recently released a dis track titled “You Got It,” in which he openly targets former label mate Jay-Z.

On the seven-minute song, Cam’ron accuses the Def Jam president of stealing the Roc-A-Fella empire from former business partner Dame Dash, as well as the Rocawear clothing line and rapper/producer Kanye West – who was initially discovered by Dash.

“You ain't the only one with big wallets / Got it, my shit’s brolick / But your publishing should go to Miss Wallace / … Down at Jeezy’s video, I shoulda kissed you on the cheek / You’s a pretty ho’ / I left the label, right? Lotta cats wonder how / Every time I diss that label, I get fined a hundred thou....wearing open toe sandals/ You look like Joe Camel".

Cam also takes shots at the expense of Jay’s R&B girlfriend, stating: “Beyonce, fiancée? Check my second LP / I might bring her back / That’s your girl, that’s your world / Had the thing fuckin’ singing ‘bout slinging crack” – followed by a snippet of Cam and Beyonce’s collaboration on the 2000 song “Do It Again.”

“The real problems began when Jay went away and Dame was talking about making me president,” says Cam’ron in the upcoming March issue of XXL magazine. “When Jay came back, he had an attitude.” “He said to [Beanie Sigel] something to the effect that he didn’t feel comfortable with what Dash was trying to do,” says Cam.

Although this is the first public sign of a feud between the two rappers, industry insiders and fans have sensed the unspoken animosity for a while. Before Jay’s Power 105 concert in October - which was initially publicized as Hov’s “I Declare War” concert - Cam was asked on BET’s Rap City about what would happen if his name was called out. Cam responded: “Say my name. I’ma hit it. We live for that.”

It is not known whether “You Got It” will appear on Cam’s forthcoming album Killa Season, scheduled to hit stores on February 14th."

This article looks really unprofessional, I'm not sure what it is. Maybe edit it up a little, but nice effort and at least the information gets across. Keep at it.

I don't really have much to say about the news itself... another day, another dollar, another battle, another increase in pre-release buzz. Life goes on. This Message Edited On 01.26.06

Maybe Jay-Z made up with Nas because he's too old to "fight" two rappers at once.

Ah, beautiful spacing.
