I wouldn't be surprised if that's what one of the songs actually sounds like.
All jokes aside, some of it sounds pretty awesome. Some of it sounds meh. Some of it sounds terrible.
|
| |
eh, there is some cool stuff in there, sorta anxious to hear what the whole thing sounds like
|
| |
Honky tonk piano under doom riffage and random scratching noises = not good.
Those Everytime I Die vocals in the part after that = awesome.
|
| |
I hate teaser tracks. Giveeee me a fucking leak so I can see if this is gonna be pure shit or not.
|
| |
Sounds like Silent Circus style
|
| |
Wow. Some good, some bad, but all on the same album? This one should be pretty wild...
|
| |
Last half > first half.
|
| |
brb gonna change my pants
|
| |
madre mia is epic
|
| |
Sounds awesome. I want to see the cover art... now. D:
|
| |
Sounds like a mix of Modest Mouse with Nirvana.
Wait, wrond thread.
|
| |
Sounds great, most of the stuff will only sound good (make sense), when you hear the whole song. The clean parts sound amazing.
|
| |
Not as much progression from their past albums, but I wasn't really expecting that. Most of the riffs are pretty siqq.
|
| |
As long as they have written something that can possibly top White Walls and Ants of the Sky...this album will be a success for me
|
| |
amazing stuff
|
| |
2:20 is effin sick.
|
| |
Album will rule.

Got better as the teaser went on...I'm not really sure how they could have "progressed" seeing as Colors was a huge success in the
genre mashing/progressiveness department. There are a few little nuances that creep out in some of the little bits which make it
sound pretty distinguished from their other stuff though.
That said, this album and the new Baroness are looking to be my highest rated metal albums of the year.
|
| |
alot of that stuff sounds like exactly the same style you would hear in Colors. but like someone said earlier you have to hear it all together for it to make sense
|
| |
Excited :D
|
| |
yeah this 4-10 second clips arent showing me much, but i swear they recycled a couple of things
|
| |
fapping like i've never fapped before
|
| |
This is fucking awesome. All of it. Every second. Awesome. Can't wait.
Boner.
|
| |
yea like everybody sayin, some parts sound recycled but I enjoyed the hell out of Colors so we will see.
|
| |
ya to the fuckers who said the last 4 seconds were from the silent circus on the studio update 1, dont you fuckers feel dumb
|
| |
Good stuff, but I really will have to hear it in context with the song in order to figure out whether I like it or not. I'm sure this will be in my top-10 albums of this year.
|
| |
Sounds like what you would expect.
|
| |
Their albums are best when listened to from start to finish.
|
| |
Their albums are best when listened to from start to finish.
unless it's Alaska
|
| |
I never thought I'd say this after listening to such a long melange of short clips but that teaser actually has me really excited for this record.
I hope it's a little more focused than colors was. should be very interesting either way.
|
| |
i agree with those who say some parts sound recycled. im excited for it and i hope theres less random genre mashing
|
| |
sounds pretty god damn ridiculous.
|
| |
im excited for it and i hope theres less random genre mashing
Yeah, hopefully they don't just pointlessly break down into some bluegrass during the middle of a song this time.
|
| |
Oh you mean hopefully they don't do that thing that makes them BtBAM?
|
| |
Sounds excellent!
|
| |
"unless it's Alaska"
Point Taken...
|
| |
It's hard to get an idea of how this will fare just from 10 second clips from 10 minute long songs.
|
| |
Oh you mean hopefully they don't do that thing that makes them BtBAM?
you're aware that they have other albums besides Colors, right?
|
| |
What I mean is they've always thrown in something ridiculous...perhaps not as off the wall as a bluegrass jam but every album it's random moments.
|
| |
heavier than colors. yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
| |
Not really.
|
| |
I laughed really hard at the bluegrass section. It seemed like they did it just to be funny. Which I appreciated.
|
| |
yeah, i have to agree with most people here
it's recycled to a certian degree
its heavier to a certain degree
it's godamned amazing to a certain degree
and dude, they didnt throw in that much random stuff back in the day
im a fan of new and odl btbam
but they're two completely different sounds
i can see you've pretty much lsitened to alaska and colors
|
| |
" Oh you mean hopefully they don't do that thing that makes them BtBAM?
you're aware that they have other albums besides Colors, right?"
yeah exactly, it's not a BTBAM thing, it's just something they threw in there and to be honest it's annoying and I skip those parts
|
| |
I honestly hope they will realise that their only strength is Tommy's vocals and will allow him to record a solo pop record already.
|
| |
they did, he made a record under the name Giles which I guess bombed since he didnt make any more
|
| |
lol i was joking, but now i'm gonna check it out. Thanks!
|
| |
np, its a really crappy take on electronic music IMO with some cool parts
"rules are rules"
|
| |
I just checked this out, and imo, it sounded like a big jumbled mess. I loved their other albums, although Colors was pushing it. Eh...i'll prolly still get this when it comes out though.
|
| |
toolguitarkid's name is super appropriate.
Everything in this teaser sounds amazing.
|
| |
of course it sounds like a jumbled mess, it's an album teaser. and a btbam at that. is it me or does it sound like paul or blake is doing vocals at one point? (or maybe tommy progressed[!])
|
| |
np, its a really crappy take on electronic music IMO with some cool parts
I don't care how much that CD sucks, Giles owns. "Do the Armwrestle"
I didn't like the teaser too much, but it definately had some interesting parts. Looking forward to it.
|
| |
sounds great; very excited about learning these songs on guitar.
|
| |
this sounds amazing, the first min was defo the worst part, but the rest sounds really really good. I cant wait for this.

Shevanel Cut A Flip on the self titled and the ending clip at the end of the Need for Repetition on Silent Circus as well as Laser Speed on Alaska...
Anyone who says they are a real old btbam fan and doesn't know they've always put in something goofy/genre mashing is a fucking idiot in that regard, sorry.
They've been doing shit like that since day one so less QQ more pewpew and just wait for the album to come out before you start judging it!
|
| |
nodnerB, yeah i got that too; just input the address manually.
|
| |
Only way they could keep progressing would be to stray from typical music theory. Not that I care,
though, as BTBAM is my favorite band.
Sounds badass. Bracing for 20 minute song.
Oh and DirtySanchez, those vocals are Kerry King's. Tour manager or something. Producer? I forgot.

lmao yeah
having a clean part in a song is something shocking
|
| |
Album will rule.
|
| |
stuff was crazy. some great. some ok. most great though. slight boner.
i love the clean parts in their music.
|
| |
keyboards are great
|
| |
The Man Land is their best song.
|
| |
the man land hahahahahha
