They aren't even trying anymore.

Weezer just keeps getting better and better as the years go by.
| |
weezer keeps getting gayer and gayer as the years go by
| |
oh wow haha
| |
God this sucks.
Time to listen to Pinkerton to try to forget about this.
| |
This might be the most disappointed I've been in a band I like.
| |
i've heard worse weezer songs
| |
i'm seeing them with blink-182 and tbs in september... i wonder what i should do for the hour weezer is playing so i don't have to listen to this crap.
| |
That was fucking horrible, and I didn't even listen to the songs all the way through.
| |
yea those songs are shitty but so is the "indie rockosphere" and faggy NPR blogs
| |
Boooooo.
| |
I don't know what everyone's problem with these songs are, they're no better or worse than anything else weezer does. Hell, at least these songs have some sort of vocal melody which is more than I can say for a few of their songs.
| |
holy shit what happened to them
| |
The only reason Weezer still has fans is because people are waiting for another blue album.
| |
Im your daddy was pretty good I think catchy fun nothing they haven't done many times over. The Girl got hot...not so much...it just sucked.
| |
What pisses me off is that Rivers is the kind of songwriter who really knows what hes setting out to write. It seems he has a pretty solid song writing talent.
Why the fuck does he put out this shit.
For a band that fames itself on its interactivity with their fan base they sure as hell dont seem to give a fuck.
| |
both seems don't seem very serious; as if they were sung right on the spot or something.
| |
"The only reason Weezer still has fans is because people are waiting for another blue album."
sadly I think I agree. I remember buying Blue, being blown away then buying Pinkerton and being blown away again. Then I bought red...
| |
Then I bought red...
hahaha shouldve gone back to blue
| |
god damn, i love weezer. but i hate weezer. its so sad
| |
I personally think Red is worse than Green, at least Green has 1 or 2 enjoyable songs on it.
| |
not terrible songs but not good either. rivers has been losing it for a while now
| |
I've almost completely lost faith in Weezer, based on what they have been releasing for the past few years.
| |
so glad to hear someone actually affiliated with music who shares the common knowledge of what weezer's done
| |
three words now abbreviated: lol
| |
oh dear.
i have tried to stick by them, i even brought 'Make Believe' (god knows why) i just hope they make something amazing like the blue album or pinkerton again, but they just keep ruining themselves. shame really.
| |
Well its not even a matter of making things that they've already done, its a matter of progressing. And you can look at their career either two ways, as regressing into shit, or progressing, but in a shitty way. I guess....
| |
well lets just hope Rivers decies to scrap thse two songs and start over...seems like he went to one party and got inspired lol. sure he's changed over the years and his music has along with him...but there must be more important things to sing about. i also really hope he puts Pat back behind the drums and picks up a guitar again or God help us all.
| |
Obviously Rivers is afraid of being honest again, because of how hurt he was after Pinkerton. Because this isn't Rivers "It started out a night like any other night, a party with my friends" is far from everything I know about him. He is a fantastic songwriter and he knows what he's doing and if he stopped releasing bullshit, Weezer would still be a great band. He's afraid to move on and has consequently written the two most disgraceful songs I've heard.
| |
I kinda like these songs.
