Hype for PTH and Phoebe. Cautious hype for Braids — I liked their last LP a lot but the singles have been hit or miss. probably going to check WWPJ too. and We Versus the Shark gets a nod on genre tags alone

I'm interested in that New Found Glory release, and I don't care who knows it.

Gnocchi
06.16.20
Probably should get this LoG covered

Willie
06.16.20
You could probably just describe the sound of their last few albums, and say something along the lines of the new drummer being different, but not 'better' than their previous drummer and have the review 90% complete before even hearing the new one.

Gnocchi
06.16.20
Please don't take.me for copyright, I was planning on doing exactly that :/

ChoccyPhilly
06.16.20
Damn, new Jason Mraz? havent heard that name in ages

TheNotrap
06.16.20
The releases I'm looking forward to are:

Hail Spirit Noir - Eden In Reverse (June 19th)
Vampire - Rex (June 19th)

I'll probably drop a review for one of these.

Voivod
06.16.20
The mix of genres in the Ocean Alley album, looks promising.

Sowing
06.16.20
that's if sputnik genre tags can be trusted

Sunnyvale
06.16.20
Bob Dylan, Phoebe Bridgers, We Were Promised Jetpacks...

Big week (also Neil Young, but don't have high expectations for that one)

thecheatisnotdead
06.16.20
Phoebe and Bobby D and Owen and Protest and Neil Young, y'alls--appealing to the full spectrum of suburban angst (said with love, I'm tryna snag all of those save for maybe Neil).

Plus, understandably not on the list since it's a re-release, but the deluxe edition of High Violet is dropping on vinyl (at least, as far as I know, dunno if Covid threw a wrench in those gears).

In any case, my record shop picked a great week to reopen their doors.

bloodshy
06.17.20
TheNotrap, please do Hail Spirit Noir. It would be a shame if that album went unmentioned.

Slex
06.17.20
Excited for Hail Spirit Noir and Novulascuro or however the fuck you spell it

New Phoebe is very good, first Braids album I've listened to and I thought it was absolutely terrible

Project
06.17.20
pity, Deep in the Iris was great

Gnocchi
06.18.20
--however the fuck you spell it --

with letters dude, with letters.

Project
06.22.20
can't find the WWPJ album anywhere, anyone know what happened?

Sunnyvale
06.22.20
Regarding We Were Promised Jetpacks, I checked too and looks like it should be released this upcoming Friday

bloodshy
06.22.20
the new braids did indeed suck

Willie
06.23.20
Beyond the Black and Mushroomhead were bad. Lamb of God was meh. New Found Glory turned out to be unremarkable, but enjoyable. Protest the Hero is still growing on me. Also, we missed Make Them Suffer, but that one was also unremarkable, but enjoyable.

Dmax28
06.23.20
Alarum's new one is a solid addition to their highly refreshing and enjoyable discography.
