I only vaguely remember their first album. I'll check this one out, though.

I loved Asleep Next to Science - it's probably one of my favorite albums of all time and I've really never let it go.
Past Life is really reminding me how much effort it took for me to get into it, though. I really feel like this new album is on a new level, though it's very different and very stylistically diverse, which makes it less cohesive. There's just a lot of "YOU SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO THAT BUT YOU DID IT" moments on the record, which I really dig. And Adam sounds incredible as always, but people either really love his voice (like me) or can't stand it.
It definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea, for sure.
