Most people that frequent this site know that Sarah Fimm is an artist that just never seems to quit. She has explored everything from minimalist trip-hop to full band-oriented, 70s inspired alt. rock. She has also never shied away from experimenting with different mediums to get her music to people — from free downloads to USB sticks full of rare and unreleased material. This latest endeavor finds Sarah stepping back from the rock vibe of her last album, Near Infinite Possibility, in favor of a bare-bones acoustic album release. The five tracks were recorded in a barn near Sarah’s home in upstate New York, Barn Sessions is just another in a long line of artistic endeavors courtesy of Sarah Fimm.

The 2 gig USB stick contains the Barn Sessions Cover, an introduction to Woodstock history, song lyrics, a personal video greeting from Sarah, a bonus video showcasing Sarah live on the railroad track, as well as Barn Sessions photography (courtesy of  Heyrick Chasse). Each song comes in Wave and MP3 form and has an accompanying live video. Of course, because this is Sarah Fimm, the boxes are each hand-made by Sarah and will ‘vary and sparkle differently’. If you order the limited deluxe version of the box set there is even more, including an 8×10 oil painting signed by Sarah.
