I never am a fan of when songs get remixed. Most of the time I think they just get overdone.

Yay, I was just about to start bitching about how I needed more PTH. They're one of the three bands nowadays I listen to non-stop, and with only two albums and an EP it can get old fast. This should whet my appetite for a bit. And Sequoia Throne is one of my three favorite PTH songs.

Song might be my favorite on Fortress, and though I know they'll probably mess it up I'm looking forward to this.

Devin Townsend? Not expecting that.

In other news, I have two songs called "Asperity of Sin" and "The 5th Commandment", kinda technical punk songs, the singer doesn't really sound like Rody Walker but its similar enough that it could be (not girly-ish like on A Calculated Use Of Sound), and there's gang shouts kind of like on Kezia. Is this Protest The Hero or not?

Arcaeus, those are PTH songs. That's Rody before his voice changed. Other ones you'll find are "All the Time", "Silent Genocide", "Asperity of Sin", "Break the Chain", "Just Defy". If you find "I Destest", however, that is not them.

Those ones you found are from the Happy go Lucky days (well not Asperity). They were maybe 15 when they recorded Asperity, even younger when they cut 5th Commandment.

Thanks. ;) I only have the two I said and "I Detest" and yeah, it's painfully obvious that's not them.

Okay, after I play Asperity and 5th Commandment to death I'll get the rest or hopefully these remixes will be out.

Excited to hear the Devin Townsend one, at least one of the three ought to be good

I don't usually like remixes. Not that I liked PTH much in the first place.

Devin Townsend remix? This'll go down as the first ever remix I'm looking forward to.

Sequoia throne is a marvelous song but an EP with three different versions of it? That sounds kinda shaky but if they pull it off then it could be good I guess.

Sounds lame, why don't they just throw some quick jams together and post it on youtube.

I'm pretty sure it's a contest. I think they released parts of the songs and told people to send in remixes of those parts and the top three would be put on this EP

So now we have remixes to look forward to, which will surely be messier than the originals themselves.
And didn't they steal this idea from Josh Scogin?

Tons of bands do this. Radiohead did it recently with Nude.
