Sean Ingram's New Single/LP 2025-02-05 by suppatime | 7 Comments |
Idle Heirs, consisting of Sean Ingram from Coalesce and producer Josh Barber (Norma Jean, Tech N9ne, The Casket Lottery, etc.), has released their debut single, entitled "Rare Bird." Their debut LP, "Life Is Violence," will release on April 11, 2025. Ingram states that the record was initially written for private consumption and to "[articulate] unresolved damage." Their sound seems to be towards a post-metal direction, with some clean vocals thrown in to complement Ingram's signature scream. More information is given on Relapse Records' pinned comment of the music video.

| | | Unexpected but hell yeah
| | | Very cool! The latter half of the song gives me Phanerozoic-era The Ocean vibes in the best way
| | | Not a fan of the clean vocals but the song goes hard
| | | I just saw Coalesce last month and he sounded great on vocals except the mix was a bit low.
| | | I saw them live last weekend and their shit sounded pretty good, looking forward to the album. I think this song might have had the most cleans lol, a lot of it was screaming
| | | Seeing them next month fuckin stoked
