sounds a lot like versions. i dig it
| |
Holy shit!
| |
Stoked to see them again this spring. This is a fun track.
| |
Dig the track but don't dig the production. See y'all in the pit in Denver this April
| |
That back half is fire. Such a slick drum roll
| |
song is good.
| |
Cool song, glad to hear them again
| |
back half is fire [2]
song rules
| |
Song goes dummy hard. Like a mix of Tropic Rot/Versions.
So happy they're back! Can't wait for the new album!
| |
production is disappointingly plastic (knew it was a Putney job without even checking) but this undeniably bangs
| |
yeah it'd be next level if it wasn't putney'd so hard
| |
yeah it'd be next level if it wasn't putney'd so hard [2]
neat track, putney's drum tones remain awful
| |
I'm excited to hear their new material and I love the short track length on this.
| |
Yup, worst drum tones in the industry come from Putney. Almost ruined Oh what the future holds with that shit.
| |
yeah i am definitely not stoked with the mix on this but the song beats ass so i can forgive
| |
It slaps. Hard agree on it sounding like a mix of Versions with some Tropic Rot
| |
Great track, glad to see them releasing stuff again!
| |
pretty mid track with really bad production agreed
| |
Versions sounded better than this. They've sounded better than this although it's still good to hear new PtW
| |
I give it five big booms
| |
Not the best Putney mix but sounds just fine imo
| |
I mean duh it wouldn’t get approved it if was objectively bad, it’s just not the kind of band for modern production choices
| |
yeah its just misaligned with their vibe, particularly since their style hasnt really changed since they were last active
| |
Oh my god my life
I could hope for something as revolutionary as Tropic Rot but I'm so happy to have a new record that it could sound like any of their "eras" and I'll be chuffed
| |
band rules! this makes me a happy lad.
| |
I don't know who this Putney guy is but I for one think it's super impressive he got all those sponges to sound kind of like drums
| |
I'm just happy they're back
| |
I've waited all my life for this holy fucking shit I'm even old at this point
| |
“production is disappointingly plastic (knew it was a Putney job without even checking) but this undeniably bangs“ nailed it. Putney can and will make any record he touches sound stale
| |
man I'll take whatever kind of production I can get as long as it's not whatever the hell happened to that Strung Out record last year, this bangs
| |
People have been waiting for this for ages, for a first single this is a bit lacklustre, drums indeed sound pretty bad, and the harsh vocals are a little too forced. Let's see what the album will be like, but this ain't enough to get me hyped.
| |
Oooooh
| |
yeah, cool to see these guys back, buzzing to see them later this year, but as a return single this isn't exciting me much
| |
great track as expected although jeffs harsh vocals sound a little thin but 15 years later that was to be expected. cleans are great though
| |
i wonder what Putney is hearing when he makes these stale ass tones
| |
not good
| |
not good is right!!
| |
Holy shit theyre back?
| |
Eh, hope it grows but the prod makes me not wanna listen again lol
| |
Clean portions sound huge, the heavy portions sound trebley and thin as fuck idk. It’s weird. Love to hear Chris Hornbrook still killing it on the kit tho
| |
Does Will Putney just do this shit for free?
| |
lol inclined to think he pays the bands at this point
| |
He did Comeback Kid’s new wake the dead song re-record too.
