Of all their re-records, this one makes the most sense though. Since two long standing members weren’t on the original. And also, this sounds fantastic

The others were a listen once and never again experiences for me

I enjoyed Leveler Anniversary edition strictly because I had completely skipped leveler in the past so it was fresh for me and (allegedly) was pretty enhanced.

leveler is underrated as hell, didn't know the new one was better. i'll have to check it out.

*Disclaimer* I have never listened to the original in full but compared a track or two after digging the remake and definitely prefered the remake

Most excited I've been for ABR material in years. After how good this track came out I'm really eager to hear my favorites.

This is actually quite good because it isn't one of their shitty new albums. I'm going to listen to it when it drops!

I never understood the " they're no Thrill Seeker anymore" people back in the day as if Messengers was a completely different genre or something lol

Voice was the weak point of the original so it's a pretty good news

"Boring chugfest"

This band has so many legit riffs. I have criticisms of their sound over the years but this is not one of them.

^I 100% agree with you Durrzo.

Messengers was my first ABR record and I could never go back and get into Thrill Seeker 'cause I didn't care for their original vocalist. So I'm looking forward to seeing what all the TS fuss is about, finally.

ABR is probably the most consistently quality metalcore act still active. That said, I'm not sure their debut is worth revisiting without substantial rewrites.

Eh, I'd rather have a band embrace their past than act ashamed of it even if some members weren't around for it. The album has a standout sound for the band that I'm interested enough to see how they interpret it.

Can’t stand how people complain musicians don’t get paid enough for their hard work, then when ABR works their ass off to release fresh music every 2-3 years along with Christmas shit+rereleases that don’t suck it’s a “cash grab”

especially metal, there is no money in it. idk how wealthy abr even are despite being so well known. tons of those guys have day jobs. get that bag guys.

yea it's also why a lot of bands are doing the anniversary tours of old albums now. it sells and they need money because you don't buy music.

As someone who mostly fell off of ABR after Constellations, I'm pretty pumped on this. Thrill Seeker has aged pretty well for me and this re-recorded sound offers a fun new dimension to it

metal musicians making something they know their fanbase will love to earn themselves a living is not a fucking cash grab jfc

if you wanna talk about blatant cash grabs, talk about the exploitation of swifties by a billionaire

I am all for bands revisiting old material and giving it a fresh polish. I can always go listen to the original or throw the new one on whenever. This doesn't wreak of cash grab, just a nod to a great beginning.
