Probably the best thing they’ve done since Gontier left. It’s still butt rock but it’s fun
|
| |
Some of the vocal processing is really iffy, and the blatant nostalgia bait with that 'Animal I Have Become' wannabe bass/kick intro borders on hilarious, but this is ok.
|
| |
Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus. I'm not really a fan of the band, but I was looking forward to hearing the duality between the vocalists, and on that end the song delivered. I'd like to see them approach a different songwriting attitude, or try something new riff-wise, but clearly that's not going to happen. So, for what this was, it was adequate

Nice Breaking Benjamin tribute band
|
| |
These guys couldn't just...
learn to fly?
|
| |
It's hard to fly when you can't even run
|
| |
The best that Gontier has sounded on a TDG track since Life Starts Now. Matt works his tail off to keep up, sounding just as bitey and expressive despite his more boyish (and decidedly inferior, at least to Adam) vocals
It absolutely beats the pants off anything they've done since Adam left. Beyond excited for what this all-star lineup cooks up
|
| |
yeah this is kind of goofy but in an endearing way, you can tell they had fun with this one even if its structurally basic as hell. Adam sounds great.
|
| |
Not bad lol
|
| |
they sound like the butt rock version of mark hoppus and tom delonge
|
| |
WHERE ARE YE-UUUU
AND I'M SO SORE-EEE
I CAN-NAUGHT SLEEP
I CAN-NAUGHT DREAM TONAUGHT

Bands sucked since One X. Not expecting much but hoping for the best

Bands sucked since they first existed. Not expecting much but hoping they stop soon

Good song
|
| |
Pretty nostalgic to hear his voice in the band again, but goddamn the other guy is awful
|
| |
this was surprisingly decent
|
| |
@Brabiz I think Matt is a good singer, but his vocals are obnoxiously processed.
|
| |
"We walk like dead people who haven't died yet" oh my this lyric is horrible
Final chorus interplay is quite fun though, song is pretty good in general outside of that abominable lyric
|
| |
not the best, not terrible
wanted more from a gontier reunion song
|
| |
I Hate Everything About Porn Star Dancing…
…just missing the obligatory Chad Kroeger cameo to get peak c*ck-rock nostalgia.
Roll in it, yah filthy b*stards! Revel in the stain upon thy pretentious souls!
|
| |
Really enjoyed this
|
| |
this is a fun idea, really wish I felt anything for the other guy’s vocals but Adam legit sounds great. I’ll def have to jam this just for old times sake
|
| |
I quite like matts voice. Good balance of both vocalists, but Adam’s voices is obviously the better one. Really like the idea of this. I’ll definitely be checking out the new album
|
| |
Matt's voice was always better suited to the style of My Darkest Days, imo. He's pretty solid on both of the MDD albums.
His biggest problem is when he's trying too hard to emulate Gontier - he just can't pull it off as much as he wants to.
|
| |
Never been much into TDG outside of their big Adam singles (plus I Am Machine for some reason). They're the equivalent of rock junk food to me: objectively not good, but you can't help but enjoy it all the same
|
| |
Honestly not even that bad of a song. Butt rock for sure but it's got some fun things going for it
|
| |
The vocals are very autotuned, I'd have an easier time listening to this junk if it wasn't this bad.
Didn't they say they wanted to create something no band has ever done? Yeeeeeeea
|
| |
I mean, they're definitely referring to the concept of founding front man returning while replacement stays on when they say "something no band has done", but I'm sure there are *plenty* of other bands who've done that, yes?
|
| |
I mean yeah that’s what I mean when I say it’s fun but this song would literally be better if it was just Adam lol
and even then it still wouldn’t be good
|
| |
What a snooze fest, hoped it would be much more exciting.
|
| |
Helloween has kept all three of their vocalists at this point, so...
|
| |
This is basically what I expected lol
|
| |
Better than the new Opeth tbh
|
| |
wowow badbadbadbadbadbadbadbadbadbad
|
| |
13 year old Fowl is losing his shit, sucks this song sucks really hard
|
| |
Yea, pretty much. It's a weird thing seeing how some bands I liked as a teenager hold up perfectly while other are just hot garbage
|
| |
well this is super lame. Looks like an 11 year old came up with the music video.
|
| |
Ironic since it seems like an 11 year old wrote the lyrics as well
|
| |
"We walk like dead people who haven't died yet"
Checks out
|
| |
Love hearing Adam back with the band, it just sounds right. Other vocalist needs to leave though.
