Fun track. Better than anything on their last 2 albums
| |
I dig it.

Fuck Architects, this is their legacy now.
| |
this actually isnt terrible
| |
idk this is still pretty mid lol, such a nothing track. cool to hear Sam finally do his lows in studio but there's literally no reason to hear anything this band has done after LF//LT
| |
nah this blows
| |
Last two singles have been a step in the right direction. Production sounds massive on this.
| |
is this thing cursed?
this god damn thiiings the worst
| |
boring
| |
@kurai
womp womp
| |
Generic
| |
A step in the right direction, I still want a little more though. I don't expect them to go all techy but I hope they write some stuff that is actually interesting, as opposed to just heavy stuff again.
| |
@Steak AOGHAU > LT//LF
| |
no lol, aog is just LF//LT done again but worse
| |
but better*
| |
horrible in every way
| |
I wouldn't say the song is bad, but it's pretty generic
| |
Not touching anything they did pre-2016 but its good!
| |
Pretty solid tune. Probably better than anything off of their last album.
| |
Gone downhill since they made a TERF their main songwriter. Josh made the ride call jumping ship to focus on Sylosis.
| |
Idk what's more embarrassing being a transphobe idiot or admitting in public that you still like djentcore 🤔
| |
There is still decent djentcore out there but it's exceedingly rare to the point it's not worth looking for.
| |
sam doing lows now lmao. that chorus is terrible.
| |
imagine going to an architects show and seeing tim pool in the pit
| |
only saw them once with counterparts and dead and divine in 2011. simpler times
| |
Architects stop pissing on Toms legacy challenge (Impossible)
| |
"Not touching anything they did pre-2016 but its good!"
im mean its cool, its not like ruin, nightmares and hollow crown are their best albums...
Edit: song is alright when compared to the shitshow that bands like wss are putting out
| |
Remember when butcherboy posted a list called “Architects Ranked” and it was a list of actual architects?
Ahhhh… those were the days
| |
Fuck this band. Architerfs
| |
I still can't believe Josh from Sylosis is in this band
| |
i really wish i could write "good song" without subscribing to this thread
| |
Josh left bloc
| |
“Fuck this band. Architerfs”
[2] Glad I’m not the only one to think this.
| |
better than their recent stuff but still generic radio metal. bands fallen off
| |
Yeah until i see something better as an apology or addressing the issue of trabsphobic shit in a better more constructive way, i think im done with them. The change of sound i could tolerate as junk food,
The overt hypocrisy of a band that for nearly a decade championed political issues and allowing people to be who they want to be. As well as pushing back against controlling/fascist ideals or controlling governing bodies and religious shit thats the final straw for me.
| |
Yeah the hypocrisy of the band is honestly pretty fucking irritating. The song's good, but it's nowhere near what they've put out before. Super BMTH-core, but that's to be expected with Jordan Fish behind the production.
| |
wait what did I miss w/ this band being transphobic
| |
^ Their current guitarist Adam retweeted a Tim Pool post then was like “whoopsie didn’t mean to do that” (Like JK Rowling used to do before she went full on mask off transphobe). However, others went through his liked tweets and saw several more homophobic and transphobic tweets that he’d liked. The band didn’t do anything about it beyond Sam making a very vague, generic performative speech at a show in Paris a few days later saying “No one in this band is a bigot, we love you all”.
Now their comments sections are filled with transphobes and bigots, and whenever someone asks the band to address the situation, they just get blocked.
| |
ok fuck this band
| |
Yeeeeep.
| |
https://loudwire.com/why-everyone-arguing-architects-guitarist-adam-christianson-repost/
| |
Still boring but better? I think this combo could find a lot of commercial success as bring me lite but it remains kinda shit.
| |
"Josh left bloc"
Say what?? I let it pass mostly because it's a way for Josh to earn some real money but I wonder if it was because of creative differences or something.
| |
Not as terrible as Seeing Red but I'm willing to bet the good parts of this were written by Fish lol
| |
Nah josh just left to focus on Sylosis and they arent doing the metalcore thing much now plus it wasnt meant to be a long term thing for him. They are all still mates
| |
Last 2 singles have been better than anything off of the past 2 albums minus Animals and Discourse Is Dead. Step in the right direction, but Tom was the heartbeat of this band. You can't lose your song writer and expect the music to be the same. Architects will never be the same which sucks.
| |
To the people complaining about their "terf" songwriter. No one gives a fuck, and you are a loser.
| |
Quite clearly people do otherwise they wouldn't be talking about it, genius
| |
Yes all three people. Woah... I came here to see peoples opinions on the song. Not their opinion about a guitar player that watched Tim Pool. Literally no one cares. They are still playing stadiums and selling out large venues. People think differently than you. get over it. Band sucks anyways.
| |
Like i explained in my longer comment im annoyed more about their hypocrisy considering the messages they have spouted over their entire career. Not only are they basically ignoring the issue, they are also literally silencing and blocking people who are questioning them about it by blocking them . If he wants to have shit views then whatever i dont care dont be a twat online and hurt your bands business.
| |
Now people are obviously going to share opinions on the band that produces the song as well as the song itself.
| |
I don't know about the hypocrisy. I know that the band is generally left leaning especially the singer. I thought they "addressed it" I don't really know though.
| |
The song is better than expected, but still really boring
At this point I can't believe I once cared about their music, but when I checked LFLT a while ago, it still ruled, so I suspect I must still like Daybreaker, Hollow Crown and Ruin just the same
And yea, AOG is just LFLT but worse
| |
This has no groove. Plastic and robotic.
| |
Yep
| |
“I don't know about the hypocrisy. I know that the band is generally left leaning especially the singer. I thought they "addressed it" I don't really know though.”
Adam made a tweet after he got called out for retweeting Tim Pool saying “whoops didn’t mean to do that” (like JK Rowling used to do before she became a full on TERF) and then Sam made a really generic, vague, and performative speech on stage about how no one in the band hates anyone for their race, gender, or sexuality.
Now the band are blocking people asking about it, and bigots are running rife in their comments sections and the band's silence on that is deafening.
| |
And its hypocritical because for nearly a decade their music has been about fighting against supression/oppression and corruption and holding people accountable. Where they are doing exactly fucking that with this. If Adam wants to have shit views go for gold, i dont care the thing that pisses me off is the hypicrisy and the way they have gone about this.
Like i said about CJ from Thy art: if you are in a band your social media activity is under a microscope and you can ruin your bussiness by publicly posting dumb or controversial things. Also understand that metal/punk/hardcore is all heavily rooted in the alternatitive so dont be shocked when shockingly people of the alternatitive side of things get pissed off
| |
@Infuse save time on the trolling and just go outside
| |
lol this band
| |
