Well, if it can be helped, they cancelled the tour multiple times, so I think he really wanted to tour, but couldn't. Rather than a sudden death, I mean

I suddenly realized I have never rated any of his discs on sput, which is a great occasion to do a full discography run-through. I brought his first disc with me to a memorable trip of Iceland; it was my soundtrack under the aurora.
I recall raving about how great the self-titled was with a friend of mine who was hardly into anything other than black metal back in the days, they have been my go to band of "yes but have you heard Low Roar?" as even post-Death Stranding, there was still a aura of "who?" about them.
I was really looking forward to see them live, and have a tear or two over some of their songs, which accompanied some very low days, and some memorable ones under the skies of that absolute nature paradise that is Iceland.
I am terribly saddened by this news, I gotta admit, I am in mourning. Can´t believe it was a pneumonia complication.

Death Stranding was my introduction to Ryan and Low Roar. The atmosphere and emotions his music elicited were strikingly beautiful, haunting, and meditative all at once.
Low Roar became my soundtrack for the pandemic. Every morning it was "Don't Be So Serious" followed by coffee, simply absorbing and marinating in Ryan's music to begin my day and to get in the right headspace in what was a very challenging and, at times, dark time of my life.
Music can be a therapy, a vitamin, a hobby, and an exercise for the soul like any other healthy activity. I'm glad to have discovered Ryan's music, because it held the key to something I needed at that point of my life when my other outlets were interrupted by the pandemic.
