Steel Panther part ways with bassist

2021-07-20 by SitarHero | 25 Comments
In a facebook post titled "The End of an Era", Steel Panther has announced the departure of bassist Lexxi Foxx. Per the band:

"The great pandemic of 2020-2037 has affected all of us. For some though, it has opened doors of opportunity and been a catalyst to seek out one’s true calling in life. This is Lexxi’s story. He started his side business, “Sexy Lexxi’s Prettiest Pets,” to bring in money for Botox during the lockdown. But something miraculous happened. He realized that his love for making pets pretty was greater than his love for being pretty himself. Lexxi discovered a greater love. Possibly, the greatest love of all.

Lexxi has chosen to hang up his mirror and focus on his newfound passion. Making ugly dogs pretty. Anyway, after nearly 40 years of rocking together and taking Steel Panther from the Viper Room to headlining Wembley Arena, it is with heavy hearts - but great heavy metal memories - that we bid Lexxi Foxx farewell. We love you and we wish you a wonderful future putting eyeliner on chihuahuas."

There is no confirmation yet about whether the band is planning to replace Foxx with Dave Elefson.

I work in a restaurant In Studio City and wait on the lead singer Ralph Saenz ALL the time. Comes in with wife and 3 kids. Cool guy, funny, always says hi to me — but leaves shitty 15% tips.

I say this as a massive fan of the first two albums but they really do need to just call it a day.

You're probably doing both if you're Steel Panther and selling out Wembley.

The Steel Panther bassist, Troy Smith, has decided to part ways with Island Records and is now looking for a new imprint to do his music for. He has had a steady stream of fans since forming the band in 1997 and has built a fan base that appreciates everything he does. Smith has had four full-length albums released, "The World After Dark," "The Rising of Black Light," "Fade To Fall," and "The Funeral Game." A new Island Records release, "A Boy And His Dog," will be Smith's seventh album. If you love Smith's hard rock sound, you'll love this collection of songs.

It seems as if Smith wanted to put out an album based on the graphic novel "Chronicles Ofoker," which is based on the life of Coraline Jones, a young girl who finds herself lost in the strange world of Post-Christianity. Smith has previously worked with bands Iron Butterfly, and Pearl Jam as well as many others. You can read some of the reviews of the new Island Records effort at Exclaim!. This is just a taste of Smith's music, and we'll have to see what he can do on his own.turkish dramas

The first single from "A Boy And His Dog" is called "A Boy And His Dog," and it takes place on the band's second album, "The World After Dark." The first verse contains a line, "A boy with a dog, that's a tale I tell myself..." It then goes on to detail the adventures of Smith's character, who is called Dog. Smith sings the title track, while his voice is heard on the title track. The music consists mostly of guitar throughout the song, but Smith provides some of the more unique lyrics. He also appears in the video, which is worth a look.
