Weird music video. Aspects of this are a cool progression of the Magma sound. I enjoyed the middle section the most. The more traditionally Gojira parts were less interesting and reminded me of Stranded particularly. Solid overall.

Song's got all the Gojira tropes, but I dig it

It's incredible how much this feels like Pop music when it's supposed to be death/progressive/metal.
Also, I think the video is hilarious in that the four characters are all judgemental of humanity's mistakes and decide to do something as stupid as a giant scientific experiment in order to save the day, because these absolutely never go wrong,
they distort time and space, this absolutely never goes wrong,
and arrive in a weird world in which humanity seems to be extinct and...
they didn't bring any chick with them.
Nice joke.

Enjoyed both song and video loads, although I’m generally not a fan of this band.
That “Planet of the Apes”-moment at the end, haha!
|
| |
I didn't mean pop music in a very strict sense, I just mean that it doesn't sound feel like heavy music.
|

the magic of an up-beat 4-chord track

Pretty decent song
|
| |
I dig it. I feel like I would like this more in the context of the album.
|
| |
great as always of course
|
| |
A continuation of their last album for sure, but maybe they don't wanna go back to TWOAF days. Or maybe this single is the outlier? We shall see.
|
| |
i'm not sure about this. but the end of video kinda remind me of documentary called Aftermath : Population Zero
|

too safe

"Song's got all the Gojira tropes, but I dig it!" 2

Pretty solid, but it sounds like any average Gojira song honestly.
|
| |
so they were going to go and repopulate another world with just four dudes?

too safe [2]
|

Soooo repetitive
|
| |
Kinda boring tbh, slightly disappointed
|
| |
drumming is disappointingly tame
that said the main riff is sweet
|
| |
Agreed Park, expected a little more from the drums...but yk, its just one song.

rules looking forward to the elbem yes yes

"they distort time and space, this absolutely never goes wrong"
Wait, when has the distortion of time and space ever gone wrong?
|

Getting Gift of Guilt vibes from this

@KevinKC,
Obviously the point of this video is that the characters were being stupid and escapist and wrong... Like in all Gojira videos haha... sort of like trying to terraform Mars when Earth is already completely terraformed to our needs... is beyond stupid when you think about it. Gojira obviously knows the tampering with universal forces is a foolish idea... that's the point of the video. The characters are dumbasses... so I feel that your sarcasm is ironic. but I do feel you on not bringing a chick. he shoulda made the characters more realistically foolish, but in a way, you show why they wouldn't, because the satire was already not blatant enough for you and probably a lot of people.
rules looking forward to the elbem yes yes [2] except there's no elbem as of yet. standalone single breh.

but ya like, how was this video not clear? People r killing the world. So people, using scientists as an archetype, have a desire to escape from the world they're destroying, and are thinking up all these new ideas of how to escape to the future with new technology. They show up in the future by going through a time warp, the world is saved, but the humans have destroyed themselves. no escape. escapism leads to self-destruction. so yes. characters obviously being dumb. heyzeus.

Song is bland and boring.Their metal hippy shtick only works when the music is actually good, a la Whale Whatever and Flesh Something.

And L'Elephant Sausage
|

growing on me, solid gojira jam
|
| |
yeh gud grower
|

I don't love it by any means. Not heavy enough and not interesting or catchy enough to make up for it. Its just....okay. Bummer
