No-Man details new album 2019-09-26 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 9 Comments | After an 11-year gap, No-Man will release a brand new album, called Love You to Bits, due out on November 22. Tim Bowness and Steven Wilson have finally returned to the studio the past year to work on shelved material from the Summer of 1994. The results are a 180 degrees turn from Schoolyard Ghosts, evoking the art pop sound of their first two LPs.
Regarding Love You to Bits, vocal Tim Bowness mentioned this is a "gloriously ambitious statement unlike anything in its back catalogue, the album consists of two connected five-part pieces ('Love You To Bits' and 'Love You To Pieces') and combines shimmering Pop and pulsating Electronica elements in fresh and surprising ways (incorporating aspects of Fusion, Ambient and much more).
Twenty-five years in the making and lyrically chronicling the aftermath of a relationship from different perspectives, Love You To Bits features poignant melodies, big beats and breathtaking solos that collide with ethereal textures and bold experiments to create the most dynamic and diverse no-man release to date."
The duo have also unveiled a montage using various snippets from the upcoming LP. Listen to below:
Adam Holzman, David Kollar, Ash Soan, Pete Morgan, and the Dave Desmond Brass Quintet guest on the album, while Bruno Ellingham & Matt Colton mixed and mastered it, respectively.

Always get this band mixed up with Blackfield. I haven't heard any of this band's stuff in years.
Apparently, believe it or not, Steven is finally settling down and marrying right now.
| | | I love the later No-Man albums where they’re more Talk Talk influenced but I’m sure this will be good.
| | | This should be interesting. Yeah, didn't expect Wilson to marry, but I saw he had a girlfriend for a while now. Good for him!
| | | Talk Talk are one of my favorite bands of all time so I hope that's true.
| | | Song makes me want to get a haircut.

Ah, so that's why some of the melodies sound like really sounds like the early PT stuff. I'm honestly intrigued, but hopefully the vocals aren't too much of a letdown here.

That's actually shocking. Steven said himself years ago that he "sacrificed marriage and family for music". I hope the change of heart goes all the better for him.
| | | Not to get too much into the gossip but apparently Steven has known the woman for like 18 years and even wrote the song ''Gravity Eyelids'' from In Absentia about her. Pretty interesting.
| | | Damn, even after 4 years with the song, the more you know. If that's true, then I've missed a key aspect to that song that just happens to be my favorite cut from (imo) his greatest album.
| | | Even Steven said he thinks it's PT's best album.
