Portland doom/black metal monolith מזמור (Mizmor) is currently streaming their new album Cairn. The album releases on September 6th through Gilead Media.

The stream can be found below on MetalHammer alongside an extensive six thousand word interview between A.L.N., the musician behind Mizmor, and Emma Ruth Rundle. The two "took a hike to discuss life, religion and art, while picking apart Mizmor's new album one lyric at a time".

I haven't loved everything Gilead has put out this year, but every piece of album art they've attached to their releases this year has been amazing. Music here is pretty good, but I think need to get used to the vocals, something feels off about them and I'm not sure what.

Well 95% of Black Metal is. Outside of that? Not so much
Maybe you will a few songs here and there that reference Tolkien, but nothing even remotely as much as BM artists do
