I like Worship And Tribute better, but I am glad to see Glassjaw here.
That Refused album is awesome, but i don't know about being first.

Where's The Fragile and Mellon Collie?
Two classic left out right there.
Plus, Rage Against the Machine, Radiohead, Tool, Pumpkins, Kyuss, and Misfits are too low!
|
| |
omg a list with good music on it. ^5
|
| |
Haha, this list is terrible.
|
| |
Mastodon in the Top 5 is lolworthy
|
| |
Mastodon has far better stuff than that. Blood Mountain anybody? Still I agree that it was hard to determine why they put what where. It felt very arbitrary. Also the same band getting multiple albums was kind of bullshit.
|
| |
lawlz at #46.
|
| |
yay for misfits! But what's up with motörhead? Overkill, bastards or 1916 are far better than the first album. This Message Edited On 08.11.07

this is a bad list
|
| |

putting LostProphets before the Dead Kennedys, The Misfits and The Stooges is quite strange.
|
| |
21 and 4 ftw. This should have Master of Reality by Black Sabbath before Paranoid and their s/t
|
| |
List makes up in lulz for what it lacks in accuracy.
|
| |
In general those lists tend to suck donkey dong a lot, but there is a lot of good music up there. "The Shape of Punk to come" sure is one heck of a great album, though I don't know if it's the best ever made. Yay for #17!
|
| |
That list brought meg lawlz.
|
| |
1-3,8,12,13,17,19 are all in my top twenty five, so whatever. Oh and the spelling is pretty terrible for this news article.

Where's a link?
|

Here is a link of the top 100, though it isn't official.

List sucks, quite frankly. Putting on a bunch of albums that don't usually get put on top albums lists doesn't make it good, so you all know.
|
| |
Interesting list, while it may be a bit weird, I have to say I agree with it much more than the typical best albums list.
|
| |
^Agreed. I was surprised to see lostprophets and a few other bands on here.
|
| |
Some albums here are very good, though only about 5 deserve to be here and none of them are in a good order
|
| |
at least the list isnt full of classic rock stuff that has been on every single one of these top 100 Lists.
Converge!
Mastodon!
|
| |
what the hell is "Rain in Blood"?
|
| |
the beatles
|
| |
Lol In Utero is above Ok Computer, Nevermind the Bollocks is above Fresh fruit for Rotting Vegetables, and Lostprophets being on this list.
|
| |
Bizzare.
|
| |
Well tbh i think its a lot better then half the other Top 100 lists.
And now we get one with at least some good stuff we complain. I dont think magazines ever have a chance of getting this right. Ever.
BTW I updated the story with the 100-50 albums. Its upside down but meh.
|
| |
oh shit, a best albums list with modern music?
maybe we're shaking the classic rock shit off finally.
|
| |
98 Drive Like Jehu-Drive like Jehu

3- At The Drive-In - Relationship Of Command
Damn right
|
| |
it seems like a pretty good list, but Lostprophets does not belong on any top list ever.
|
| |
If you ignore the rankings, you'll end up with a list of great albums.
|
| |
Das Ish Tru.
|
| |
Slipknot in the top 100?
If they're going to put Iron Maiden in the list, they need atleast 1 album besides their debut, either NOTB or Powerslave.
|
| |
DOPESMOKER !!!!!!!!
|
| |
There are actually some worthy albums in this top 100.
|
| |
Jesus what a terrible list.
