This band does it right. Garrett is one hell of a vocalist.

Pretty cool lyrics referencing the Spanish Civil War, which was a precursor to the Second World War. Not a very common topic for a metalcore band.
| |
Great metalcore and obscure lyrical topics, Silent Planet have mastered both.
| |
Potentially the best Metalcore band at the moment
| |
Rules hard
| |
song is solid
| |
'Christian' is still a thing? Good song.
| |
could do without the cliche cleans
| |
The flow of the harsh vocals is so cool, could be an awesome rap track. Do agree though, the cleans don't add anything at all
| |
band is goddamn horrible
| |
Cleans kinda ruin it for me , I usually like his cleans but not so much on this track. Rest of the song is gnarly though , Garrett always kills it.
| |
Lame as can be.
| |
Saw this band live, they were terribly out of place with the lineup and the fans were toxic. Absolutely awful performance and the guitarist looked incredibly bored. I don't know why people are so high on this band.
| |
Not really feeling that song as a whole, but that video was sweet as hell.
| |
Both this and the second bury tomorrow single seem to have cleans that ruin both songs.
| |
This sound has been done to death. Might have been a cool song if it came out in 2012.
| |
this kind of metalcore sucks so much
| |
These guys are better at sounding like Underoath than Underoath is.
| |
this metalcore song is definitely a metalcore song
| |
this kind of metalcore sucks so much [2]
Overrated (but marginally above average) band, style needs to die
| |
"I don't enjoy this sound so it needs to die"
| |
You guys are fucking toxic . Why do I even read these threads. I'm not sure if you are all trolling or just trying to be edgy but you guys suck. You dont love music you sour fucks .
| |
don't cry
| |
not liking something = peak E D G E
| |
Yea Spirit you big smelly willy
| |
My willy smells like a dozen... no, a GARDEN of long-stemmed red roses
| |
Everything but the cleans were great. Still the cleans didn’t ruin it for me.
| |
good track
| |
Is this a b-side to their debut? Lol jk
Band keeps making songs that sound so goddamn identical to each other. Lame cleans but the main vocalist rips
| |
I appreciate what they're going for but I can't help but feel the lyrics are way too pretentious
| |
those drums sound awful
| |
the cleans were always the weakest thing about this band. they never really bothered me though.
| |
There isn't a rap part lmao what
| |
That's just his usual delivery, he's very start stoppy with his screams. He doesn't rap lmao, you're just unfamiliar with his style it seems
| |
This is kinda different for them, much more "djenty" I guess rather than an Underoath/Oh Sleeper bite
| |
I think there are definitely rap influences in the way he delivers his vocals. Just because something is gruff doesn't mean it has to be strictly metal. Take the band Archspire for example. The vocalist has basically admitted to being a death metal Tech N9ne.
| |
I mean I can hear influences for sure, but I still wouldn't call it rapping. It's always been more of a weak shout (Maybe spoken word?) to me, which he uses as a bridge to the screams and lows
| |
song rips. you don't have to love the style to be able to say its a good song and that the dudes are obviously talented. y'all are extra troll-y today
| |
@igordrago: Welcome to Sputnik
| |
"I think there are definitely rap influences in the way he delivers his vocals."
tagging this band as nu metal rn
| |
Toondude I will drop kick you
| |
oh shit those screamed vocals rip but what is with the effects on those cleans? Ruins any redeemable quality in them...
| |
I don't get all the hate for the cleans
| |
I just think the effects kill them, like clearly he can sing why filter the shit out of them with effects?
| |
agreed everything else is top notch
| |
Never liked their cleans on record, and live they are atrocious. They're so fucking screechy in person, it's a real nasty assault on the ears.
Song is whatever. I liked the style they had on their first record way more than anything they've done since. Gimme that big atmosphere.
| |
How can people seriously think metalcore sounds good with these type of cleans? So whiny and have no passion, they're always thrown in as garbage filler. Outside of that too the harsh vocals are equally as awful. It sounds like he's rapping the lyrics and the guitar work is standard generic work as usual. Not good at all
| |
still better than the new Underoath album tbh
| |
As much as I really could not stand this, I'd probably give him that.
| |
umm... flag plz?
