Essentially just a recap of previous Acts.

As cool as it is seeing some of the characters brought to life here, the video's kinda goofy...

^Whilst true, up until now there were some aspects of the earlier Acts that were open to interpretation and weren't officially confirmed (such as whether it was Ms Leading in A Night on the Town from Act IV), so it cements a lot of TDH canon.
Seeing the soldiers sing "e dolore magna gloria" is a big highlight of this video

Video is indeed pretty goofy. For some reason I can't tell what's wrong with it though. Something about the acting and the cheesy effects.

While I adore this band to the end of the earth, and while I do appreciate the little bits that the video adds to color the story, it is not a particularly well shot video. Some aspects are pretty cool, the Boy looking at a bruised evening sky with knife in hand, the soldiers shouting battle cries. Even the weird ethereal mist is interesting. But I think the issue is that this just feels like an amateur production that got a pretty good budget. For instance, nobody runs like this guy runs throughout the video (baby steps at ~1:30?). Or the fact that the party ~3:52 looks like everyone there is trying way to hard to make the impression that they're not bored. Or lame-magic Pimp/Priest. Or, at the very end where he is looking at a door but the camera inexplicably cuts to him looking out a window. I recognized story elements, and the video fits the song. But the execution isn't all there for me

"They should have shown him fucking Ms. Leading."
Confirmed for BON(e)US disc

Video is sloppy af but they're not exactly a band with a huge budget to spare and I appreciate the effort, so w/e

Video is cheesy and way over-acted but I feel like that suits the band's general theatrical aesthetic anyway so you know, there's that.

The cheesiest part was definitely the "OH NO, I'M FALLIIIIING~" bit at the end.
