I'm diggin it. I liked the last two albums, and I'm hoping the new one is as good as this song.
Digging: ...and Oceans - Cosmic World Mother
the menzlight anthem
My hometown heroes :')
knew this would rule but holy shit
song is meh.
Digging: Defeated Sanity - The Sanguinary Impetus
Pretty good, they'll never top on the impossible past though
Better than anything on Rented World
song is awesome, also you should be smacked Spec, this band is a trillion times better than Gaslight
Digging: Jeff Rosenstock - NO DREAM
'59 sound is a gem.
"Better than anything on Rented World"
I Don't Wanna Be An Asshole Anymore, Rodent, Nothing Feels Good Anymore are all strong contenders, but that album as a whole was okay.
I love Gaslight, but Menzingers are something else. That's like calling Joyce Manor The Wonder Years because they both play pop-punk.
this sounds nothing like the gaslight anthem
I'm not huge into them, but aren't both bands pretty much just Americana pop-punk?
i dont know why the term americana is associated with The Menzingers at all. and i dont get the comparisons to The Gaslight Anthem either.
Yeah, this rules. Definitely up there with the best on Rented World.
damn these dates are garbage
"i dont know why the term americana is associated with The Menzingers at all. "
ummm I mean they're Springsteen as fuck
Best song they've done in a long long time
Digging: Toyland - Once Dreamed
rented world was great tho
I really don't understand why people seem to get upset when these guys and Gaslight Anthem are lumped in the same conversation. I figure it's possible to like one without getting offended by comparisons to the other--or, stranger still, to actually enjoy both.
i dont think anyones getting upset, the comparison just doesnt make much sense to me. and i do like both bands btw.
but yeah, song is great
Not mind blowing, but it's a solid Menzingers song. Hope this means a new album this year.
that chorus is so dreamy. i almost wish i had never read the lyrics, the melody is so good.
much better than the best of rented world
Chorus is heavenly yeah
goddammit, why do so many bands have to go to Mill City Nights? that venue sucks hard.
what happened to this guy's vocals?
Digging: The Smith Street Band - Don't Waste Your Anger
They sound great.
they sound very repressed to me, kind of annoying
it's very sugary but yeah
they sound great [∞]
