Oasis reissue Be Here Now2016-07-22 by judasgoat | 31 Comments
|Oasis will be reissuing Be Here Now, the album hailed by its creator as "the sound of ... a bunch of guys, on coke, in the studio, not giving a fuck", on October 7th.|
Oasis's third album will be reissued on vinyl and as a 3CD deluxe edition, similar to the reissues of the last two records. The first disc will be the main album, the second disc will consist of B-sides and rarities, and the third disc will feature the Mustique demos, long sought-after by fans.
A track from the second disc, a "rethink" of opening track "D'You Know What I Mean?" by Noel Gallagher, can be streamed below. Gallagher had this to say on the rethink:
“As the years went by I'd started to accept that the songs on 'Be Here Now' were in fact insanely long... too long! Someone (I can't remember who) had the idea that we re-visit, re-edit the entire album for posterity's sake,” says Noel Gallagher via a press release. “We got as far as the first track before we couldn't be arsed anymore and gave up... it does sound fucking mega though!”
Literally no one cares. No one. They're first two albums were good, but nobody cares after that.
i do but not this album
No one asked for this. Only person I know who would possibly be interested in this is my mate who wears nothing but Pretty Green and acts like the 90s produced nothing but quality albums.
Sounds like a complete twit
He's alright, just a bit of a wanker sometimes.
Seems like it.
worst band in britpop
Digging: Dua Lipa - Dua Lipa
Digging: Chapel (Rise) - Sunday Brunch
you 4.5d good charlotte
Not the worst per-se, but definitely the most overrated.
Song's pretty interesting. Be Here Now isn't even that bad
Digging: Dexys Midnight Runners - Too-Rye-Ay
it's not bad it's that every song is way too fucking long. there are some good ones tho
Digging: R. Stevie Moore - Children's Museum
this re think sounds nice, love this album to bits really
Digging: Opeth - My Arms, Your Hearse
The Verve is underrated britpop with some great shoegaze stuff
This was probably my favourite oasis album when i was younger, i think i overplayed whats the story and ended up not being able to listen to it anymore because it irritated me. Whearas i never got tired of this one.
'The Verve is underrated britpop with some great shoegaze stuff'
what relevance does that have to this
first 2 oasis albums are great
never heard this one though. and i probably wont
Always really liked Be Here Now. It's overblown and pretentious but enjoyable nonetheless.
The Verve definitely isn't underrated over here since everyone and their dog enjoys them to some capacity and they're not really that britpop
"Literally no one cares. No one. They're first two albums were good, but nobody cares after that."
Are you fuckin autistic?
Actually excited for this, this album has some great gems
He right tho
enjoying the, "are you fucking autistic?" outta nowhere
cannot comprehend this opinion. Be Here Now isnt that good though.
The verve really is so much better he isn't wrong
yeah verve rule hard
Yeah my dude
Whatever (pun intended). Oasis, in my book, were the best, save for a few pesky weeds.
