Stolen Equipment
Chevelle had to postpone some of their 2007 tour dates due to their trailer getting stolen on May 9th, 2007. The bands exact statement is "We regret to inform you that we are unable to perform our scheduled tour dates (until further notice) due to the entire trailer full of pretty much ALL our gear we own getting STOLEN TODAY 05/09/2007 from the Clarion Dallas Park Central hotel at approx 11:00 A.M.
If anyone has any information or sees a light gray KZ Cargo trailer with an Illinois plate 57002, please call 911 or your local police authority.
Most items are labeled "chevelle" and if you notice anything suspicious on ebay or other online resellers selling "authentic" Chevelle items...Pete's guitars, Dean's basses, Sam's drums, amplifiers, risers, backdrops, tee shirts... please call the police ... or email:

The shows affected by this were May 10th in Lubbock, TX; May 11th in Amarillo, TX; May 12th in Odessa, TX; May 13th in Austin, TX; May 15th in Boulder, CO. Their tour will resume on May 17th in Urbana, IL. All dates were rescheduled later in the year according to their official website.

People stealing band equipment = going to hell for it.
I don't really like Chevelle anymore but that could of been any band and I'd feel bad for them. Need a body guard to guard trailers these days anyways.

Since it's a band like Chevelle (who earns a pretty good amount of money), they can probably manage fairly well, though it's still messed up. You don't steal a musician's instruments. It's just ****ed up. That's probably worse than stealing their house b/c really, it's better to feel warm on the inside, no matter how cold you are on the outside.
