The Cribs Slapped With MTV Ban

2007-05-10 by Horrorshow34 | 13 Comments
British Indie Rock band The Cribs have had their new video banned from all MTV channels in Britain after the UK Media watchdog Ofcom enforced the ban after it received several complaints from the public about the video's content. The promo (for forthcoming single 'Mens Needs'), which features a naked women walking around the set throughout, also includes scenes of Drummer Ross Jarman's arm being sliced off and frontman Ryan Jarman geting beheaded, and was deemed "too shocking" to be shown before the 9pm watershed.

The video can be seen in full at the site below:

Ofcom are still yet to speak out about the disturbing nature of the new Mika video.

I hate Ofcom
they tried to ban Klaxon's video to 'Magick' becuase they said it was too ''scary'' and ''thought provoking'' . . . .
its three middle class hoxton art students firing green slime at each other for 3 minutes :-S

they try to ban that
but they don't stop ben elton from getting his own 'comedy' sketch show

Ofcom wants to maintain MTV as a method of controlling the proletariat through the use of reality TV and celebrity shows to induce mass cerebral atrophy obviously.

^^^exactly...?

MTV sucks anyway, just like TMF and all the other channels it owns. Tbh the UK has no good music channels, even scuzz sucks.

^^ agreed, but tbh i have often found that if a tv channel with music i liked existed, about 4 ppl would watch it. So i'm sort of confuzzled by music tv as a concept now.
