uh oh :[
| |
Well that was dull, even Halford sounds bored.
| |
I thought it was ok maybe a 3/5
| |
Listening to it the 2nd time everything feels pretty damn flat, some cool riffs but man this sounds watered down.
| |
Watered down... It's really just OK, nothing stands out. Now I'm sad :[
| |
meh
| |
Boring. The art work is cool though.
| |
very average
| |
This better not suck! KK was always my favourite member, hopefully it's as string as angel of retribution which I found really fun.
| |
flat
| |
give it a hard meh
| |
Sounds like Priest going through the motions. Riffs are pretty standard for the band, but that's about it.
| |
Song reminds me of Hell Patrol but 100% worse.
| |
I miss Halford's high-pitched vocals
| |
It's got some good riffs but otherwise it sounds underwhelming.
| |
Sounds like Priest going through the motions[2]
| |
Pretty generic song and unfortunately Halford's voice has seen much better days.
| |
UGH!
Why why why why didn't we get a badass Halford scream at the end? It was building and building and it just never happened...
| |
((((((
| |
Ugh Priest is my favourite band of all time, and even I can't find anything exciting from this song. The riffs, generic; the rhythm, nothing special; and I'm so sad about Halford, no effort or energy in his performance.
:[[[
| |
yeah man, its really a shame. I really never expected this to be any good anyways. :[
| |
damn it's really not that bad guys
| |
Lloyd, it ain't bad, but it ain't good... Hard 2.5 srs
| |
Well, nothing special... I didn't expect another Painkiller, but at least another Breaking the Law... Some decent guitar work, solo is enjoyable, drumming is a little dull, Halford is a-okay, i guess, but not pretty much else. Also, Redeemer of Souls? Come on, you couldn't find a more ''metal'' title even if you tried!
I find the cover art to be another digital crap. Look at that guy, he seems like a bad Chinese robot....
| |
"I didn't expect another Painkiller, but at least another Breaking the Law"
this doesn't make any sense, Breaking the Law is better than Painkiller??????????
| |
Vocals are too poppy. Not that bad, but... meh (same feeling I get from "Rock the Nation" from Axel Rudi Pell). Also, artwork is pure trash. Hoping the rest will be better. :/
| |
This is alright. The whole song sound a bit off to me for some reason.
| |
Song reminds me of Hell Patrol but 100% worse. [2]
It's okay. Halford is starting to sound his age. Redeemer of Souls...could they make it any more obvious it's about Jesus?
| |
Song sounds like it would be very good but everyone is mad old. Riffs are good and all but the song is missing any trace of power
| |
Well that was a complete waste of time nice
| |
Meh.
| |
tired
| |
Something tells me I won't like this.
| |
A mediocre song. Hopefully the rest of the album will be better.
| |
bet this sucks
| |
Fucking album art m/.
Wow production is wayy too compressed
| |
''

No, not at all, on the contrary... What I wanted to say is that I didn't expect them to be at a Painkiller level, but at least they could have written a simple, yet really good song (that is no way as good as Painkiller), like Breaking the Law...
| |
These guys are almost hitting 70 no shit the 63 year old singer sounds bored..
| |
Halford wasn't this bored with Five Finger Death Punch (though he still sounded bad). If he can try harder for that band instead of Judas Priest... well, shit.
| |
@Sabrutin Don't remind us of that regretful collaboration.
| |
They really haven't made a good album post-Painkiller, so I doubt this'll be different.
Band is dead for me studiowise, RIP 1974-1990.
| |
"

Angel of retribution is perfect
| |
^Lol, only about half of AoR is any good if you ask me, plus the closer really sucks.
The fact that that album sounds industrial-ish doesn't help its case imo.
| |
Manopriest meets Judasowar. Meh.
| |
Everything about this is mediocre.
| |
: /
dammit priest
| |
They're definitely recycling parts of Hell Patrol here. Pretty much a bore, sadly.
| |
Yeah, Halford's a mere mortal now. Nowhere near the Metal God he once was.
| |
Riffage sucks, as expected. Band has been shite for a while, but without KK, they're at the bottom of the barrel. Band is dead basically.
Hopefully they can still do a good live show, although I dunno if there's hope for that, as I believe Epitaph was meant to be their last tour.
| |
Their last tour would've made for a timely sendoff, yeah.
| |
I'm happy they're making another album, and just hope the rest of the songs will be better. After having listened to it a few times, the biggest problem is the production.
| |
not bad but yeah really flat and tired
| |
boring...

| |
@RotM: well, you're a fanboy, so yeah.
| |
Sword Of Damocles is an interesting title though
| |
Boring instrumentals, lame lyrics, slack pace...this does not bode well at all.
| |
These guys just sound bored out of their minds, almost like they don't even want to be there.
| |
AWFUL
EDIT: meant to post that on their newest song, this one isn't nearly as bad
| |
boring
| |
