Oo la la

Between new Chevelle and this ooh I can hardly wait
| |
Please tell me this is awesome
| |
Top Notch and the Dallas song slayed so I hope this is good
| |
Its good. Not as good as any of its predecessors though.
| |
That Dallas track was easily my favorite song they've ever written
| |
I'm not sure how I feel about this guy's voice.
| |
"I'm not sure how I feel about this guy's voice."
Probably the one thing holding me back from loving this band. Still, Music is incredible.
| |
ooh gotta spin this one haven't been huge on their other stuff and the guy's voice is shite but top notch has tasty tasty guitar tones
| |
Don't you dare insult andy's man pipes
| |
Sploosh
| |
11/10
| |
pretty damn disappointing
| |
Shut your whore mouth
| |
I never knew his voice was such a point of contention.. I've always enjoyed Andy Hull. I'm listening to the album now, really enjoying it so far.
| |
This is probably their best yet. Every Stone is definitely my fav song by them now.
| |
Don't know how anyone can knock Andy's voice... I still prefer Right Away, Great Captain! to Manchester Orchestra but this seems a pretty solid album from the first spin.
| |
fti's on a Chevelle high
| |
this might become my favorite record of theirs.
| |
This is exactly what I wanted these guys to make, amazing record.
| |
"the guy's voice is shite" kill yourself
His voice fucking rules and jamming this now
| |
"That Dallas track was easily my favorite song they've ever written"
What song is this in reference to, Xing?
| |
After the Scripture
| |
Oh yeah that's one a fucking jam, and so far 10x than any song on this
Actually really disappointed
| |
Agreed. I'm feeling like a 3 for this
| |
Everything that made me love them (especially the EMOTION) has just been sucked dry and replaced by mountains of riffs like they think its a suitable replacement
This is like Manchester Orchestra playing AC/DC or something, not Manchester Orchestra
| |
Having said that All I Really Wanted is tight
| |
There are cool moments here and there but I literally had to force myself to finish this
| |
Yeah I agree I mean there are no moments which are actually BAD, but its just so flat and uninteresting
I'm clinging on to the hope that it grows more with each listen but it doesn't seem like an album which has any hidden aspects at all
Wtf MO why you do this
| |
I really don't see how songs like Every Stone, Girl Harbor or See It Again could qualify as an AC/DC song, sorry man.
| |
I'm not saying they sound like AC/DC I'm saying that this is Manchester Orchestra playing the most straightforward, simplistic music they possibly could and literally wasting away their talents
| |
I actually loved this straightforward way of making a record. What kinda killed Simple Math for me was the lack of that punch and rawness to the music, but to each their own man, it's just that the AC/DC comparison got me.
| |
m/
| |
This isn't raw at all though its just simplistic
Nothing here even approaches songs like Sleeper 1972 or Where Have You Been? in terms of raw emotion
Seriously sorry but this is like a 3.1 and their previous albums were like 4.1 at the worst
| |
I agree to disagree, my friend. But that's why this site was made on the first place.
| |
implying I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child isnt simplistic...dont mistake raw emotion for complexity.
| |
Never said otherwise doesn't change the fact that raw emotion > this
| |
Simple Math always pissed me off as a song because where I'm from it should be pronounced "simple maths" fuck man gets me every time!
Can't wait to check this out properly though...
