"Periphery Fe..." This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by WMG.
Well that lasted for a whole five seconds.
| |
and it was a very gay five seconds
| |
: This Time it's Post-Djent
| |
But there's no actual Periphery content here outside the mention of the band itself, so I don't think it really counts. You're still clean.
| |
lol periphery
| |
nooooo!!!!!!!! i wanna hear this!!
| |
nooooo!!!!!!!! i wanna hear this!! [2]
| |
Cleary the band did not release this song. Probably should have checked their facebook page to see if it was official before reporting it as news.
| |
"Djentle giants"
I am dead
| |
@Omaha, it is exactly that kind of wordplay that makes this site so special.
| |
hmmmmmm something like that
| |
Yeah Omaha, don't be such a djerk.
| |
'The Djentle giants of the famed most polarizing bands of all time Periphery...'

For anyone interested in hearing it. IMO it's pretty fucking awesome.
| |
^THANKS!
| |

| |
"The Djentle giants of the famed most polarizing bands of all time"
english motherfucker do you speak it
| |
"so angry"
Womp womp womp.
| |
Last minute. Harsh vox are immense!
| |
Can't watch it.
| |
Just search for it online, the song leaked.
| |
Regardless of your stance on the band, you've gotta admit it's a pretty cool idea for an EP.
| |
I've had this idea for a band for quite awhile as well, where every band member makes 1 song each that they write completely.
Periphery copied me :/
| |
decent
| |
Honestly, that idea is kinda hard to imagine no one has tried before. I will admit I am a fan of the band and idea. Hope this albums rules.
| |
Pretty decent
| |
Honestly, that idea is kinda hard to imagine no one has tried before.
that's cos most bands have one principle songwriter and the other members don't have have much or any writing talent
would be pleasantly surprised if this EP came out solid
| |
Relient K had an album where every member wrote a song. But the fact that every song is based off of the one song they all wrote is kinda cool.
| |
Nice! Song kicks balls overall!
Although I will say that its a pretty weak drum performance for a song coming from an amazing drummer!
| |
Heavier parts are Slipknot / Dagoba mixed with the lighter Townsend influences.
| |
damn where can i hear it!!
| |
KILL

WMG claimed the video
| |
hell yea thanks
| |
wait the play button dont do shit
| |
Oh another Periphery song I couldn't give a shit about.
I loathe this band.
| |
The play button looks weird for me too, but it still works. Or at least it did earlier. Let me check again.
Yep, still working here.
| |
Thanks drumsalot
It works for me kill
| |
must be firecocks oh well i guess i'll never know
| |
Make sure you click on the small whitened out squarish area in the lower right hand corner.
| |
yea i do i can see the play arrow it lights up but does fuck all when i click it wow im pissed i'll have to go back to listenin to old man music
| |
Hey, nothin wrong with old man music.
| |
but periphery fans said i gota get with the times and not listenin to dad rock like pink floyd and genesis????
| |
If I can listen to both, you can too!
That should be my new slogan.
| |
im tryin but it wont play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
| |
Lol kill
Also, this genre needs to die already
| |
Why on earth is this article so poorly written?
| |
Cause it was written by a Hunter. What do Hunter's know about music?
| |
God dammit this is the track I most wanted to listen to.
Edit: Oh sweet thanks for the link. Song seems cool I'll give it time to grow as always. Drumming is
oddly weak though, Matt is a beast so I don't know why HIS song is lacking in that department.
| |
"The Djentle giants of the famed most polarizing bands of all time Periphery"
lmfao terrible
| |
this sucks. they're still going down since their debut
| |
**** band
| |
this band is slowly losing its novelty
I want more songs like Letter Experiment and Luck As Constant
| |
once again, cool instrumentation ruined by obnoxious melodies and shitty harsh vox
| |
Spencer sounds awful on this especially when he first starts singing. The instrumentation is okay but Spencer completely ruins anything I like as soon as he starts up.
| |
Treb is like 2010 Eric
He'll get mad at like anything and it's really funny to watch him wind up.
Oh and blah blah bla Nu-Djent
| |
I agree that Spencer's first few lines sounded pretty shitty, but only because of that modification. I'm not sure why he wanted to use so many vocal effects on this release, heard one in pretty much every track teaser. As one of the people that actually thinks he's a fucking awesome singer I find the effects very obnoxious.
| |
The vocalist has always ruined this band. Wish I had bought the instrumental version of their first album. I never listen to the thing because he's so annoying.
| |
"this band is slowly losing its novelty
I want more songs like Letter Experiment and Luck As Constant"
i kind of agree actually. god letter experiment goes so fucking hard.
| |
Best thread ever, let's do it again sometime.
| |
Damn these lyrics are goofy as shit.
| |
meh. spencers melodies are cringe worthy in some parts. not bad though
| |
: This Time it's Post-Djent
heh
| |
Band is just too much. Every member is so skilled at their instrument I think it makes them write shitty music. Like so many skilled musicians in one room is just too much. Mark's old project "haunted shores" was amazing though
| |
I really like this song. Riffing is not as techy and random as most of their songs, and Spencer is as Spencer does, but the transitions actually make sense, for once.
| |
Yeah sorry I obviously rushed this article, and I typed it on a phone. So I got some auto correction, just thought I would get the convo started. Even if I sacrificed the quality of said article.
| |
This is embarassing. How did they come out with P1 and ended up doing stuff like this... Is unthinkable. Sellouts.
| |
yeah cos periphery 1 was not pop-y in the slightest
| |
perfishery
| |
I can't say I loved P1 (3.5 for me) but stuff was def more experimental. This one is a mashup of what the average joe loves in modern "metal"
| |
^I wouldn't get the torch and pitchfork out just yet. This is a song written by the drummer, so maybe, just maybe, teh riffz aren't the focus.
| |
P2 for me was a mess, lets hope the songwriting in this is far better.
| |
^ I can't hear the whole P2 and not rage about halfway. There are some songs that just get to my nerves. I'll keep the torch away for a while though :D
| |
P2 for me can be summed up in this sentence: "One step forward, two steps back"
At least Ragnarok rules hard.
| |
the intro riff to "the Gods...." is pretty cool too.
| |
and i love scarlet because i loved haunted shores.
| |
Indeed. It had a lot a cool moments but they never feel cohesive due to sloppy songwriting and the album as a whole is too long and inconsistant.
| |
yeah i agree. i liked P1 a whole lot more than P2.
| |
P1 instremental is great, I've 3.5'ed it.
| |
true that man. dem riffs.
| |
instrumentally the self titled was good but vocally it was horrific. Same thing with p2 but even worse instrumentation
| |
yea im not really down to listen to p2 ever.... but i still rock p1 in the car. it has vocals so i really only like letter experiment, all new materials, totla mad, and racecar.
and honestly... icarus lives? only the intro is cool IMO.
| |
Instremental dude, the vox on P1 are really off-putting.
| |
yeah, problem is i can only play CD's in my car and i could only find p1 with vocals.
meh, its not too bad. the 4-5 songs on that album that i like, really go hard.
