The fact that they're calling themselves A Fire Inside gives me a vibe of a little old school AFI and Davey started yelling in the video and the spiked upside down cross; gothic dark imagery. Maybe a punk rock album

The opening track on the last album was great then it all went downhill very suddenly. I still have
hope that these guys can produce some great stuff; the last two albums just felt like they were
avoiding doing the stuff that they had been so good at.

If they bring back the old AFI, this could be amazing. They haven't mentioned "A Fire Inside" in years.

Crash Love was bland and that's one thing that AFI never were, with Davey being the melodramatic guy that he is. DU certainly has it's problems, with it taking me ages to appreciate anything off it, but I really enjoy at least half of it now. Still hoping for that STS sound though. AOD is one of my favourite albums full stop but that AFI is definitely long gone. I don't think they could recreate that sound even if they wanted to.

The things I would give for as many WHOAAAAAAOHOH's as Totalimmortal on new material.

I'm in the, love all their albums, camp, so I'm not too worried about where they're going with their sound. But it appears to be of a much darker tone based on this teaser and the despairfactions new theme.

If you think I don't make sense to you, you have comprehension problems. But, here: whenever a band moves away from punk or pop punk... I see a ton of people saying how they wish they'd go back to that sound. And it annoys the shit out of me.

Yes we all know Black Sails, All Hallow's, Art of Drowning, and Sing the Sorrow were the best; but Decemberunderground and Crash Love are good albums and have some great songs on them, not the entire album is full of classics like the four I mentioned earlier but don't easily shit on the past two.

Don't know how you couldn't be excited. Too badass when the video cuts off with Davey about to scream and the band about to let loose.

I will inevitably listen to this. Certainly not dreading it. I used to listen to them during the DECEMBERUNDERGROUND years and stopped caring after Crash Love. I'm willing to give this a shot though.

The short film clips on the website really make you wonder what this will be like, and Davey's spoken word bit is really enticing.
