Capital, Virgin Records Merge 2007-01-26 by Jom | 2 Comments | EMI has recently announced that Capitol Records and Virgin Records will be merged to form the Capitol Music Group. Both labels are operated by EMI and were coalesced together in an effort to create a roster that includes The Decemberists and Radiohead. Fortunately for the artists (so far), the new label hasn't said anything about cutting its roster down for the merger.
