What the fuckin fuck
|
| |
What a bunch of titty slappers
|
| |
why.....
|
| |
Dafuq did I just here? Is this actually Muse?
|
| |
* hear. So stunned that my spelling was fucked
|
| |
My respect for this band just dropped even more.
|
| |
Ive been an on-and-off muse fan for a while now, at the very least should be worth checking out.
|
| |
As soon as I saw that "The following preview..." bullshit I knew something bad was approaching.
|
| |
Lol it has dropz and stuffz lets sell out guise
|
| |
Could be a prank... But. It has yet to proven that they (he) don't (doesn't) take themselves (himself) too seriously. So that doesn't look good (at all)
|
| |
lol
|
| |
i really hope this isn't a thing where half the bands i love turn to dubstep.
|
| |
and i thought they couldnt get worse than neutron star collision. guess i was wrong
|
| |
I'm pretty sure this band just doesn't give a shit about music anymore, it's all money and pussy
|
| |
http://oi47.tinypic.com/9uul9t.jpg
|
| |
Guys the music is a joke
(thank god)
|
| |
this trailer was made by Tom Kirk, king of trolls
so yea
|
| |
BOOM! muse go and move the goalposts AGAIN........c'mon rival bands try and keep up if u can! @Daniela7084 ....fuck muse? no love FUCK U, .......@Mattbellmay, yes m8, lets see ppl eating they're fucking fists when muse go live with the 2nd law, i for one cant wait to hear chris crack some dub on his bass.......FUCKING MUSICAL GENIUSES!! FUCK THE HATERS!!
|
| |
Don't let this be true
|
| |
Muse? Selling out? NEVER.
|
| |
Those YouTube comments are hilarious
|
| |
Someone earlier today said it takes real talent to make dubstep noises with guitars. Not really. If you've got Source Audio Hot Hands and decent effects pedals it's piss easy to make wubs on a bass guitar.
|
| |
dubstep lol
|
| |
God I would hate to be a fan of this band
|
| |
'God I would hate to be a fan of this band'
It's getting harder as the days go by
|
| |
burst out laughing at the dubstep part.
band has gone down the shitter. Laughing at the all morons in the comments section.
|
| |
Not sure why I find this so funny seeing as I like Korn's album The Path of Totality...
but lolMuse.
|
| |
Muse's music is going to create so much energy that oil prices will fall.
THEY'RE SAVING THE WORLD PEOPLE!
|
| |
A Daveyboy sighting.
|
| |
ugh
|
| |
why are people surprised, seems like a total Muse thing to do
|
| |
bloc won this thread btw
|
| |
not enough musing
|
| |
If they do this whole dubstep shit, I will not be happy.
|
| |
Isn't this a good thing though? At least if the album is bad, it will be hilariously bad rather than just boring bad.
|
| |
Lol I loved the last album though
I love everything they put out
But this looks like bullshit
|
| |
This has to be some stupid ploy to get people talking about the album (please god)
|
| |
Muse used to be my favorite band, but all hope for them just wubbed right out the fucking window
|
| |
wow that was bad
|
| |
What the ACTUAL fuck?
|
| |
RIP Muse
|
| |
If this isn't a joke at least we'll have a record we can all enjoy by laughing at it, you know kinda like what we all did to korn.
|
| |
Oh what the fuck is this
|
| |
not even going to bother
|
| |
Was anyone seriously expecting anything better after the Resistance?
|
| |
I was really drunk and stoned when I stumbled on this news article. I watched this shit and laughed for its entire duration.
News article of the year here.
|
| |
This is so fucking hilarious. I feel fairly certain that this is a joke, I mean how could it not be? It has to be right? Please?
|
| |
well at least its not going to be some shitty acoustic love song bollocks that matt mentioned a while back... at the very least..
|
| |
In a time of deep economic crisis, just an album of overwhelming camp and pretentiousness could save the world...
|
| |
When I first heard about this I just assumed it was going to be a little bit of electronics with a bassline, the way every idiot hears that and goes OMG IT'S DUBSTEP!!!!!! But yeah, holy shit....
|
| |
This HAS to be a joke....
|
| |
"Clearly not dubstep. You can tell it's made using Matt's utter genius with his Kaaos pad and his new toy the Misa Kitara! Just imagine this as an opening to an utterly insane stage in a live show! This is going to be F*cking epic, MIND BLOWN!!"
I hate Muse fans.
|
| |
Nice to see they toned down the drama.
|
| |
Next thing you know they'll be doing a remix with Skrillex for Call me Maybe
|
| |
ONCE AGAIN:
this trailer was made by Tom Kirk, king of trolls
HE HAS NEVER MADE A SERIOUS VIDEO BEFORE
so my hunch is that we're getting trolled hard, chill the fuck out people
|
| |
If this is a joke I will laugh so hard. Not because it was funny, but because all the Muse fans backing this 'new direction' will look like total idiots.
|
| |
This is just a way to get attention and have everyone speculating about the new album.
Or perhaps not
|
| |
I thought this was actually legit, and that they'd totally lost the plot, then the dub step kicked in and I thought "oh, I get it!"
|
| |
Lets just pretend that this is some big joke: is it really a smart idea (regardless of how big a band you may be) to all of a sudden come out and say, "oh no, we were just joking!"?
|
| |
Don't worry guys. Matt Bellamy is the guitarist of our generation. If anyone can make this work, its him.
|
| |
I love it haha! the first 1.30 are pure strings and epicness then leading in to so called "dubstep" It isn't dubstep really is it! All this dubstep going around is madce by pressing a button on a computer! Matt Bellamy is playing it on a fucking guitar! PURE GENIUS! But for pwoper Muse fans, I wouldn't worry, the entire album wouldn't be dubstep hehe Muse know what they are doing and therefore I am very excited!
|
| |
"go listen to some of their jams that they play live such as at the end of Stockholm Syndrome ... it actually sounds a lot like the dubstep, but dubstep didn't really exist back then so we didn't call it that. "
Fuck me....
|
| |
go listen to some of their jams that they play live such as at the end of Stockholm Syndrome ... it actually sounds a lot like the dubstep, but dubstep didn't really exist back then so we didn't call it that.
Imagine the increase in abortions if we all had the gift of foresight
|
| |
Comments on the video are retarded
|
| |
go listen to some of their jams that they play live such as at the end of Stockholm Syndrome ... it actually sounds a lot like the dubstep, but dubstep didn't really exist back then so we didn't call it that.
So he's saying this sounds like dubstep:
http://youtu.be/9wV9_je85DE?t=6m39s
|
| |
The ending to this is quite similar in style to 'The 2nd Law'
It feels me with hope.
In Muse we trust
|
| |
loved it.
|
| |
'Yeah I didn't actually listen to it but from what I saw it looked like the most pretentious thing ever. Gas at $67 a gallon come the fuck on!'
Yeah wow do you know anything about resource managment at all? Prices WILL go up to that level (and I expect it to happen very soon too) as drilling for oil becomes harder and harder, it's the natural development of things and a side effect of the gay illusion of the 'free market'.
it's a fucking trailer of course it's going to be over the top, you also missed the point completely, here let me help you:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_law_of_thermodynamics
|
| |
Eli, look at the top comment on the video and you'll understand ;]
I actually didn't hate the Resistance, though - I enjoyed it a fair amount, although it was riddled with filler.
|
| |
"What the fuck? This is amazing. Muse are constantly pushing the boundaries of music, and they change up with every single album they've made. Seriously, Muse were always going to go for the unexpected. This is just that: completely unexpected, yet awesome. I mean, shit. Muse are the most creative musicians around right now, I'm a proud fan who's loved this band for so many years. This is a new route for them, but they will do it amazingly. Muse are awesome. Case closed."
I want to kill myself.
|
| |
Muse fans are insufferable
|
| |
I even saw one Muse fan referring to Muse as 'we'. Like when you talk about a football team you support.
|
| |
'I bet he's never even touched showbiz or origin of symmetry.'
don't forget absolution
|
| |
I hate Muse. They seem really stuck up too. Like they are doing something special with every new album.
|
| |
I wish I could go back to when I first got into Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry and Muse wasn't really that popular. Their fanboys now are off the charts, the youtube comments are just ridiculous
|
| |
Muse fans are the worst fans. No contest. They even swarm onto any pole for best guitarist, bassist, drummer etc... and always vote for the Muse members.
I remember seeing a pole where Hysteria got voted the best bass line of all time. And another where Christopher Wolstenholme got voted best bassist of the last 20 years.
|
| |
good most people I know never even remotely cared about this band.
"And another where Christopher Wolstenholme got voted best bassist of the last 20 years."
What the fucking shit, there are probably a shitload of "regional" and "lesser known" bands with a lot better ones.
|
| |
I love muse, but everyone, except for my dad, I know hates muse
|
| |
I have a few friends excited about this crap, a few that are worried, and some that don't care anymore
|
| |
Muse had their equipment wrecked by a hurricane, coincidentally minutes before the Hurricane Festival in Germany. We can only wish them all the best at next year's World Aids Day gig.
Frankie Boyle on Muse
|
| |
Bwahahah.. talk about irony.
|
| |
You obviously don't get Muse's deep hidden messages in their songs.
|
| |
Idk, I think such things are pretty hilarious.
Some kind of pseudo "neo-conservative" dude once tried to tell me the there hasn't been technically demanding music since the classical period. I laughed so hard I couldn't answer.
|
| |
I hope you answered 'have you even heard BtBaM' after you stopped laughing
|
| |
"Some kind of pseudo "neo-conservative" dude once tried to tell me the there hasn't been technically demanding music since the classical period. I laughed so hard I couldn't answer."
Guy has obviously never heard any Muse songs.
|
| |
Ew.. no.
I said Bela Bartok.
"A lot of modern bands are filled with scruffy young teens who just want to wank their instruments as much as possible. Some bands can pull of technicality well, some just write shitty wank fests. It annoys me."
True indeed, but there have, are and definitely will be bands that are/were and will have the ability to pull of technically demanding stuff. Also, considering there were composers like Bela Bartok and thngs like Jazz not too long after the classical period that statement was just incredibly retarded.
|
| |
you know you can edit your comments?
|
| |
Simple can be good too though.
|
| |
michaelsnoxall: dude you just don't know
|
| |
You guys complaining about how obnoxious Muse and their fans are and yada yada is waaaaaay more
obnoxious than they could ever be
so stop it
|
| |
I used to love Muse. Sums up my feelings about this pretty well.
|
| |
wow a sensible comment
thank you andcas
|
| |
I'm gonna step in and say... if one band could have occasional spouts of dubstep in their music, pull it off, and it actually be enjoyable, it'd be Muse. He's a pretty incredible song writer.
I personally am unopposed to this. Sue me.
|
| |
I like the trailer, actually. The dubstep sounds like it could have fit onto Origin of Symmetry without much trouble, and the orchestra music through the beginning and middle of the video? Yes please.
|
| |
Calm down lads, wait until the actual album comes out.
|
| |
He does the primary songwriting. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll keep an eye out for the other two.
|
| |
"The dubstep sounds like it could have fit onto Origin of Symmetry without much trouble"
Oh you cheeky troll
|
| |
'I detect sarcasm.'
I rarely ever make jokes
and if I do they're really bad and never sarcastic
|
| |
I detect sarcasm.
|
| |
"Oh you cheeky troll"
...
Considering Origin of Symmetry was half filled with screwing around on guitar (including the screeching noises and slides heard in the dubstep portion of the trailer), I don't quite think I'm trolling.
|
| |
lmao
|
| |
"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_law_of_thermodynamics"
Uhm...
|
| |
"lol @ people who thought Skrillex invented Dubstep."
Well duh, obviously Korn invented dubstep :/
|
| |
clercqie the album is based around that
|
| |
"The dubstep sounds like it could have fit onto Origin of Symmetry without much trouble"
I thought I'd like you because of the Mi Fa Mi avatar but now I want to punch you in the face.
Seriously though, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this is serious. Origin Of Symmetry is a masterpiece, Absolution wasn't that good and it's all downhill from there. Why not have a Brokencyde guest spot? It'd be fitting.
|
| |
"clercqie the album is based around that"
Oh god, at first I thought it was funny. Not anymore...
|
| |
Dubstep is my favorite band
|
| |
Hopefully it will rule. Nice trailer.
|
| |
In all seriousness, no this would NOT fit on Origin of Symmetry.
|
| |
Holy fuck this band has lost their shit completely.
|
| |
I don't get why people think the orchestral bit sounds good. It's fucken cheesy and horrible.
Big Muse fan here btw
|
| |
lol@ thermodynamics wiki link
|
| |
Why all the hate? Muse are a consistantly good band who play and write all their own stuff. So they are scening a bit with dubstep, I'm ok with that as long as it sounds good. Very excited about this.
|
| |
"Muse fans are the worst fans. No contest. They even swarm onto any pole for best guitarist, bassist, drummer etc... and always vote for the Muse members.
I remember seeing a pole where Hysteria got voted the best bass line of all time. And another where Christopher Wolstenholme got voted best bassist of the last 20 years."
You're the idiot if you think polls actually matter. If it's a poll, it's based on public opinion, so it will almost always have terrible results...
|
| |
"You know what bassist I don't see get enough love? Simon Gallup."
One of my favorite bass players in music
|
| |
fuck this so much
|
| |
hahahahahahahahahahaha
da fuq is this shit?
|
| |
good thing i was never a fan of this horrible b and
|
| |
"Muse are a consistantly good band who play and write all their own stuff."
have muse become so big now that the new people who like them are impressed that they actually write their own music?
this dubstep stuff is funny if its a joke too, with all their dumb fans defending it haha.
|
| |
Besides how shitty this album already sounds, the production of that trailer is terrible. Seriously, it looks like it was made on imovie.
|
| |
youtube comments are the worst thing ever
|
| |
Jesus Christ.
|
| |
I'm not dissapointed by the band in general, so I'll trust them on this one.
But if they are going to incorporate Dubstep in their music they better not go like "Look, Dubstep! wub wub wub blub blub blub! It's great!" and make it relevant, make actual music with it.
I can still see this as a total Muse thing to do, it's challenging as well which is fine, but it'd better be worth it.
|
| |
it's not that it's dubstep, it's just...really shitty-sounding dubstep.
|
| |
"'God I would hate to be a fan of this band'
It's getting harder as the days go by"
^^^
|
| |
If this is not a troll vid then by god I'm gonna break Matt's face
|
| |
What is this ??? Now they became electronic ?
After a great album as "The Resistance" I'm really hope they won't mess this up .
Edit : knows what ? Maybe it's a joke. Anyway , I hope it's a joke...
|
| |
Because unlike korn, their sound isn't suited for it at all
|
| |
lol musical trends
|
| |
Actually more bothered by them spelling it "2nd" instead of "second" than the vague imagery and dubstep
|
| |
"If this is not a troll vid then by god I'm gonna break Matt's face"
I wanna see that.
|
| |
It is Dubstep blablabla / It isn't Dubstep blablabla / It isn't even good Dupstep blablabla / 140 bpm blablabla / based on this 2 minutes i hate Muse blablabla/
This is the deal guys: Muse is Muse and they do as they like. Rock, classic or techno, they don't have boundries. Love it or hate it. Nothing less, nothing more. Stop to label everything and free your minds! Goog luck with that! ;)
|
| |
Alright, since you asked me to JosephLong, I will stop and label this: BAD
|
| |
Is it just me or are the comments on every news thread underlined for everybody?
And also the font when typing a comment is a lot bigger.
|
| |
People who constantly complain about a bands fans are even lamer than said fans.
Muse was good back in the day but havent cared about em since I rocked to Knights Of Cydonia on Guitar Hero. That ish was hard!!!
I hope this is a serious preview. Im actually curious how its gonna sound. Korn revolutionized music again!!
|
| |
Okay, cool. Must be construction time or something.
|
| |
i wonder what this'll sound like
|
| |
ok, i've just read the wiki page, and i have a really bad feeling that this'll go horribly wrong and be terrible. hope i'm wrong though
|
| |
God Damnit Muse!!! Not you too?!?!
|
| |
Haha.
"Bellamy jokingly described the album as a "christian gangsta rap jazz odyssey, with some ambient rebellious dubstep and face melting metal flamenco cowboy psychedelia" on his Twitter account."
^ I'm hoping for this. If they're going to get worse, it might as well be a laughable regression. The Resistance was pretty funny.
|
| |
"christian gangsta rap jazz odyssey, with some ambient rebellious dubstep and face melting metal flamenco cowboy psychedelia"
would buy
|
| |
kaching! instabuy!
|
| |
da fuk
|
| |
Well, that was kinda weird and pretentious. and I'm hearing Enter Shikari.
Now,look at this. Is this really them? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HA6EN24gqiw
|
| |
It doesn't sound like Enter Shikari and that song doesn't sound like muse
|
| |
I'm more surprised by the surprise of the Muse fans that they would do this. Doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
|
| |
I'm not a fan of dubstep, I am a fan of Muse. But what I heard here is AWESOME. I can't quite tell why I like it but it just reminds me so much of Muse! Its perfect. It sound like a super beefy mix of everything they've done so far.+ THAT IS A GUITAR MAKING THOSE NOISES!! That amazes me! So excited and I actually HOPE this song is on the album. It was flawless how the dramatic strings and orchestra/choir intro plunge right into the guitar dubstep. Its amazing all the sounds these guys can make!
|
| |
this is shit
|
| |
they changed too much
|
| |

pretty sure this is just a piss take of muse fans, right?
|
| |
Ohhhh dear, this is the same band that made origin of simetry and absolution? Resistance was a step backward but it has some enjoyable tunes, this is really, really dissapointing.
|
| |
By the way this comment is so lol
1. I DONT LIKE DUBSTUB
2. NOW I DO CAUSE OF MUSE xD (on guitar its freaking awesome!)
haahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
|
| |
youtube community only contains low brained fuckheads, its incredible
|
| |
